New install

Stainless Steel Hood
I put an addition on my house for a bigger kitchen. I added this hood to better vent. I had higher hopes for this range hood. The first night I put the range and hood in, I made chicken for my daughter and I, so just 2 breasts browned in a frying pan and finished in the oven. The hood even on high still didn't stop my alarms from going off in my house. I didn't scorch them, nothing burned, no fire and the steam from boiling water goes around it a lot of the time. I have it installed to direct vent to the outside (it's on an exterior wall.). Installation. I had a heck of a time getting it installed. The anchors that come with it are a joke. I would not use them your hood will fall down and hopefully not while you are cooking. The mounting holes aren't standard stud spacing either. I would also like to mention, it's just pretty loud when using it.

high quality range hood
Have been searching to purchased new range hood for about 5 months. This model popped up as a recommendation. Initially was skeptical but did my research and purchased this Golden Vantage model RH0472. it arrived 1 day early and was able to install it the same day. Very straight forward instructions and installation tool about 1 hour. Definitely happy with our purchase and product. Highly recommend this model for ease of installation and functionality.

Range Hood
We installed the range hood last week and works great. Keeps the kitchen much cooler and the odors under control. I like that is simple, not bulky and the fan sound is not a problem

My opinion may be biased.
I am a custom stainless steel fabricator who happens to make commercial kitchen equipment such and commercial hoods. So instead of just making this product which I could of I decided to buy this because of the motor and filters included because I wanted to run ductless. Installation was easy. Quality is good for your average homeowners but to me the stainless used is of a lower quality grade, 410,420,440. It came with a small dent.

Good value for the price.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with this product. For now I'm using it as a recirculating fan, I may vent to outside at a later time if we use it but I bought it mostly for decorative purposes. I'm using it with sloped ceiling by not using the top flue piece.

Awesome Value
We recently made over our original 1984 kitchen and this hood really gives it the WOW factor! Overall fan noise isn't too loud but is as loud as I expected. I do wish the airflow was a bit stronger but for under $200 I'm happy with it. It would be even better if the light had a high and low option but we're overall very happy with this hood. We'll never go back to a microwave over the stove again.
