We have not tested removing chemical scent from an area, however this product should work. It may take a little more time and the rocks would need to be charged more often. When you notice the chemical smell re-appearing in the room, place the rocks in direct sunlight for 6-8 hours to recharge them, flipping the bag occasionally, then place back in the room where the odor is.

Yes, this product will remove the odor from your home. Remove the two layers of plastic wrap covering the net bag. Use a wastebasket to catch the loose particles. NEVER OPEN THE NET BAG. Place the net containing the Gonzo Odor Eliminating Rocks near any area where odors exist. Allow 4 to 8 hours for the rocks to be totally effective

The number of times you can recharge the rocks is unclear, but when I bought them I was under the impression the number was 'as long as you have them' (i.e. Lifetime). Mine have been recharged at least 3 times and I don't see a loss of efficacy. I use it in my RV. As far as the fabric bag idea, I don't think that will work; the rocks need full contact with the air to work and a fabric bag will not allow that. A mesh bag might work but it would have to be a relatively open mesh. As much as I don't particularly like the bag they come in, it is what I still use.

Yes, this can help to eliminate mothball odors. You should notice a difference after about 24 hours.

I waited for a whole week for it to eliminate a musty smell in a small bedroom. THEY DID NOT WORK AT ALL. Waste of good money.

I am not too sure....I didn't have mothball smell in my home. You have my sympathy ! I hate the smell of mothballs. I think it is worth a try...it works so well on mold and musty odors :-)

It took care of the odor left behind in a car from spilled turkey drippings. I think it would do away with pet urine odor as well.

It works slowly but does eliminate a lot of the odor. You might try one of the products that is especially meant for this application and use this as a way to keep odors from building up.

This product is great for around the area where the odor originated. We would recommend removing any stain first and then use this product to remove the remaining odor.

Sorry, Steve, it won't even touch it. I have a cat. I keep one by his box. But if he spills some urine over the side, I use a pet cleaner to clean it. I put one by the box because i think it does help the air some.
