The Good Directions 401AL Adjustable Aluminum Weathervane Roof Mount is designed for standard and small weathervanes and accepts up to 3/4 in. Dia. weathervane poles. This roof mount is 12 in. long, 7 in. high, 4 in. wide and its mounting plate's measure: 3-3/4 in. x 3-3/4 in. with 4 mounting holes per plate. Stainless steel screws for mounting are included.

A: Yes...As long as you have about 4 inches of width to bolt it down... It will fit very well on most angled or all flat surfaces...

A: To a certain extent, the lower mounting brackets will swing downward forming a close proximity to each other. There may be need to install a shim in between the mounting brackets to assure a perfect angle fit on top a fence or rail.

A: Hello, The roof mount is only meant to be used on roofs. We have a deck mount (Item number 210) but that is only used with our Garden/Cottage size weathervanes.

A: Hello Pete, The width will vary depending on the pitch of your roof, the smaller the pitch the greater width there will be. When the mount is laying flat there is 5.25" in between the two pads. Thank you.

Just what its supposed to do

Easy to assemble and install. When I ordered it I was concerned that it wouldn't be strong enough but after I had it in my hands and installed it is plenty strong enough. Could have had little longer lag bolts (I tend to like things a little beefed up).

This is a very good mount for the peak of...

This is a very good mount for the peak of the roof. When installing have someone help as an extra set off hands will be helpful to keep everything aligned when installing the mounting lag bolts. The instructions are very easy to understand.

I liked the bracket Itself. It was very sturdy and easy to place. It would have been nice if the instructions included more details about what to do to make sure it was vertical before you drilled the holes for the screws. Be aware that as you screw down the screws you need to do both plates together so screw down left side a little then screw down right side a little. It feels very stable and my weather vain figure moves easily.
