I used this on my bathroom shower. I have high iron water and the rust runes everything. I sprayed it on and the rust was removed in less than one minute stuff works great. I didn’t spray it on the brass until I test it first.

                It Really Works!!
My HOA sent me a letter regarding the rust stain near my bedroom window which is a result of my condensate line dripping. (I’m getting my either HVAC system replaced very soon.) Funds are tight and I didn’t want to have to pay someone to pressure wash it. I did a little research, and found this GoofOff Rust Aid. I know it said bathroom, but I figured I’d test a small area on the vinyl siding. It came off like magic! I hung out of the window and proceeded to spray the entire area (it’s not a large area). The rust stain is now completely gone! I am so happy that it cost me less than 5 dollars, and I still have more than half of the bottle remaining. I highly recommend this product.

You must get this product if you are in need of removing any rust! There has been rust stains in our children's bathtub for a year. After receiving this product I immediately sprayed it on the two rust spots in their bathtub.Literally 20 seconds after applying the product I gently wiped the spots with a rag. The rust spots completely disappeared and no scrubbing was required.

We have well water so rust stains are a constant problem. They have gotten so bad that I've resorted to using toilet bowl cleaner to cut thru the stains. I came across the GoofOff rust remover with it's claim that just 20 to 30 seconds is all I need to get rid of the rust stains from my acrylic shower stall. So I gave it a shot. AMAZING!!! I sprayed it on a vertical surface and the floor of the shower, waited 30 seconds and wiped it down with paper towels which I simply tossed when finished. Rinsed it down per the instructions and I can't believe it actually worked! I'm so happy I don't have to rely on heavy acids now to keep the shower clean and this will cut the cleaning time to a fraction of what I used to have to spend scrubbing. I love it!

I live in the boonies and city water is not an option so I'm stuck with well water. The water is iron rich and rust deposits on my sinks, tubs and toilets are a constant maintenance chore. The only product I've found, until now, is Lime-A-Way toilet bowl cleaner in the squeeze bottle not the spray bottle, it works like magic but it's rarely available locally for me. Looking for an alternative I spotted this Goof-Off Rust Stain Remover. I've used Goof-Off for years to remove paint splatters and it works great so I was hoping that their rust stain remover would work equally as well but I had my reservations since I've been disappointed with so many other products. Time to clean my porcelain kitchen sink. Following the printed instructions I sprayed it on, waited a minute of so and wiped with a damp sponge while flushing the stains with water. To my utter amazement the rust stains disappeared, no scrubbing needed. (see images 1 & 2 below) They sell it as a gel product. It's thicker than water but not as thick as the Lime-A-Way. My guess is it has to be thinner so it can spray from the bottle. Either way it does stick to the walls of fixtures I'm cleaning. To give this the ultimate torture test I didn't clean the floor of my shower stall and let the rust stains build up. Again I followed instructions. Sprayed, waited and sponged. Very poor results, hardly made a dent in the stain. I did it again but this time I used a scrub brush in a power driver. Same poor result. Maybe, due to the fact the stall is fiberglass instead of porcelain like the sink? Maybe because the surface is non-slip textured instead of smooth? Don't have the answer. Went back after the stain with Lime-A-Way and got most of it up but it's going to need another scrubbing. Final impressions. Works great for porcelain sinks, tubs and toilets but much less impressive on textured fiberglass fixtures.

This stuff is too good to be legal. I reviewed this product earlier and was amazed at how good it was. But I am on city water and have much less rust problems that someone on well water. So I had my daughter and her family use some on her many stained appliances. Most of which she had given up on ever being able to restored. She called me shortly after she had tried it and was nearly historical. All I could hear was "Dad it works! Dad look at this tub!" which she text me a picture and I attached it to this review. She went on to tell me it restored everything she had tried it on and it didn't drive anyone out to the house in the process. It doesn't fill the air with toxic fumes. When you need to use it on as much surface as she did on her tub which is in a closed space, it is vital that it not create fumes. This stuff will take business away from the sink and tub refinishing people. it is a house hold necessity and an absolutely game changer if you are on well water.

                    A house hold necessity.
I got this product and immediately put it to the toughest test I could think of. There are a couple of rust stains on the ceramic tile floor behind my bar where steel CO2 tanks set. The stains built up over several years before I noticed them. I tried several times with different types of cleaners to remove them but the best I could do was lighten them slightly. This stuff did the trick. It took several applications but it removed the stain completely. It dissolved them like nothing else I have experienced.. You need to let it set for a minute or two before wiping it off. But when you do the stains just seem to disappear. No smudges of residue . It worked so well that I started going around the house trying it on everything. I clean off some rusty spots on chrome faucets that I could not get off with chrome polish. It worked but the results were not quite what I expected. After the rust dissolved it left a pit where the bare metal showed through. I put polish on it to protect it from rusting again. For some reason it didn't dawn on me that if there was rust the chrome had to be gone. I also tried it on some soap and hard water stains in the shower that nothing else has been able to remove. It didn’t work on them either. I knew before hand it was not sold for that purpose. But it was so successful on rust that I just got carried away. So, it is very effective on rust but not on soap and hard water stains. It does come in a good spray applicator and it goes on with a bit of color that helps you see where you sprayed. All of which is helpful. A good product that in our home is now a house hold necessity.
