This will stick to rubber, but since the rubber will flex more than the tape the adhesive will gradually degrade. So if you are looking for a semi-long term holding capability you need something more flexible than tape.
Clean the area thoroughly, use alcohol and soap if need be. Remove all dirty and particulate matter. For vertical application weight restrictions shall apply for horizontal application should be no problem. Staple, nail or screw should also be considered for job. In short, the tape has strong adhesive and there should be no issue.

It should stick to brick but as for releasing early I kind of doubt it; this tape adheres to most surfaces very well as it is intended to do and stay there, so I doubt it will release easily. Hope this answers your question.
