16 oz. Waterproof Patch and Seal Rubberized Sealant Black Spray Paint

I decided to give this product a try to solve a vexing problem: A portion of the bay window frame on the front of my house completely rotted out, and made the entire house super draft and uncomfortably cold. I didn’t want to simply replace the old wood with yet another piece doomed to rot - then I discovered Gorilla Seal Spray! The product bills itself as being “a flexible, rubberized coating that seals out water, air and moisture.” I liberally coated a 1x4x67” piece of wood suitable for framing. The spray lays on thick, evenly, and I noted that it doesn’t “blow away” when working outside on a breezy day. This being a 14oz can, I was pleasantly surprised there was plenty left for more projects because I really - I mean “really” - sprayed in on thick. It’s not like Flex Seal, which coats in a thick, black, rubbery, “substance”. Gorilla Seal sprays on clear, wet, soaks in, and is for all intents and purposes “invisible” when dry. More importantly – it works! There were a number of rainy days in the week after installing the coated wood into the bay window frame. I inspected it several times and made two observations that convinced me beyond a doubt that this product works: 1) The end piece I trimmed off was uncoated and left on the ground for a few days before I went back and decided to use it for another project. It literally broke in pieces once I started driving screws through it; the moisture it absorbed was too much for it in an untreated state. 2) The piece treated with Gorilla Seal, has remained SOLID more than six months since it’s installation, and there is virtually no sign of deterioration. No draft in the window. No bugs getting in. My one beef is with the dispenser on the can. At first, I thought it was clogging but then I realized that I needed to repeatedly remove the dispenser from the top of the can and then re-attach it. Something about doing this got the things moving again. However, I don’t feel as if this should be a necessity. The sprayer/applicator needs more development. As far as the sealant itself is concerned, it’s great! I expected no less from Gorilla, being a regular user of numerous Gorilla-brand products. It will waterproof just about anything.

flex seal and gorilla is same price but get 2 oz more w/gorilla can,,both worked for me as i inspect my 30 year old roof now ,, every couple of years to hit the cracks,, breaks,, gaps , exposed nails, etc ... as preventative maintenance for zero leaks

Gorilla Black Waterproof Patch & Seal Spray 16 ounce can white. I bought this this to fix my leaking rain gutters. On the inside, while dry, I sprayed light coats on each of the seams. Because I had purchased clear it wasn’t as easy to see the coated area. Time will tell if the seal holds. This is a company I have used before and I trust their products.

Gorilla 14 oz. Waterproof Patch and Seal Clear Spray The one thing I really like about the product is that it is clear, unlike other products that are black. I had a hole in the gutter that I applied the black spray patch. It required primer before applying a white coat of paint. The other problem with any colored spray patch are the visible splatters. With the clear spray there are no visible splatters to worry about, and the patch can be painted as soon as it dries. It does run, so go easy on the application. It may require a couple light applications. This product receives a rare 5-stars from me.

I'm a pretty active DIY and almost always have a project or two going on around the house. I have extensive low voltage LED landscape lighting across the front of my entire house. There are times when I need to make a connection using wire nuts. The connections are buried directly in the ground and are subject to moisture and water. Over time the connections often fail. I wanted to use something to protect the splices and make them waterproof. The Gorilla 14 oz. Waterproof Patch and Seal Clear Spray seemed like it would work. In the photos I used it on a splice. It was quite easy to use....sprayed out evenly without a mess and it was easy to fill up the connector with the spray. It dried nicely and now I have a waterproof splice! I am quite sure I will end up using this for other projects I have around the house!

I elected to try the Gorilla waterproof patch and seal spray on a large boiling pot that had a pin sized hole in it. It is advertised as being heat resistant, but with food going in the pot, I sprayed it on just the outside. I gave it 24 hours and added water, and so far it has held up. It appears to have a slightly rubberized coating, and the spray came out cleanly and evenly.

I have tried to save on my water usage using a variety of methods, but but so far is capturing rain runoff from downspout gutter. I didn’t want to spend lots of money for a sophisticated store bought system, so I improvised using cheap plastic 32 gallon garbage cans to collect and store water. After one year those bargain cans developed leaks in the bottoms. So I used this spray to plug cracks that allowed water to leak out! Works perfectly. I love Gorilla products, I use them for multiple uses!

What a great idea. We used this on our sailboat in the bow we had wood that was leaking from anchor locker we took out the bad stuff and sprayed with this and so far it is working great! I do wish, for this application, I would have gotten the white, but figured the clear I could use on anything. I was amazed on all the many ways to use this product and all the variety of products you can use it on. You can also paint over this product and its temperature resistant.

This is a great sealant. I had a leak on my patio coming from the roof above it. Sprayed it with the Gorilla patch and seal. Next time it rained, the leak was gone. It was concrete and metal and it stuck. It applies easily and quickly. There is no mess afterwards and it doesn’t show anything because it is crystal clear. It seals out water, air, and moisture.

GORILLA 14 OZ. WATERPROOF PATCH AND SEAL CLEAR SPRAY- Gorilla’s waterproof patch and seal is designed to help keep water leaks from forming on solid surfaces. It’s an easy product to apply. Simply clean off the surface, shake the spray can and apply as needed. I have a small leak where some roof flashing meets the end of a roof gutter. I’ve now sprayed the area and since the Gorilla seal is flexible, it should help prevent further leaks there. I’ll have to wait until the next rainstorm to know for sure. My only wish is they’d include a spray pipette so the product can be more accurately applied in tight conditions like the one I’m dealing with.
