All Purpose Wood Filler Wood Repair Kit (2-Pack)

I bought this to use in T111 siding that had termite damage. I drilled a lot of holes in siding. Added 2 ml of water to mix into a syringe with large tip. Injected into holes I drilled. Worked great and dried rock hard. Better this way, thank to replace 4 sheets of T111. FYI. Female 63 working on scaffolding.

This wood filler is an all in one kit you need that includes the filler, a sanding block, and a plastic putty knife spreader. I like how it has everything you need to do minor repairs in one package. The wood filler works as well as other brands I have used of similar products. I used it to fill in some door hardware screws I removed as well as fill in around a doggie door I patched with plywood in a wood door. I didn’t do a great job sanding for my application but it still was paintable and worked great for what I needed.

As a longtime woodworker, I'm always on the lookout for any product that makes the job easier. The folks at Gorilla Glue have marketed a number of useful products over the years, so I was anxious to give their wood filler a try. I've used pretty much every product out there, and each has it's strong and weak points. This All Purpase Wood Filler Repair Kit from Gorilla is as close to a perfect material I've found. The filler itself is a thick paste-like consistency - thick enough to not be runny and to hold its shape, but not so thick as to make difficult to work with. It sets up relatively quickly, usually within 1-2 hours. Sinking or cracking is minimal, reducing the need for a multi-step fill. Final set is hard and durable, and the repair can be sanded down to a very smooth surface. I tested the material on a 1/2 inch, 3/8th inch deep hole in some MDF and was very pleased with the result. My repair disappeared under a paint top coat and was indistinguishable from the surrounding surface. As a kit, the filler is sold with a plastic putty knife for placement and initial smoothing. Final sanding can be accomplished with the included sanding sponge. These tools are very basic, and I found that the sanding sponge was a bit heavier grit than is my preference for a final sanding. For the average DIYer, though, they will work out fine. This Gorilla Wood Filler is my new go-to repair putty - highly recommended!

The Gorilla All Purpose Wood Filler Wood Repair Kit (2-Pack), Natural is advertised as a 2-pack but I only received a single pack. Otherwise, this wood filler is another excellent product from Gorilla. I used the filler for repairing a hole in a door and where carpenter bees had made holes in our carport rafters. This wood filler is the easiest to apply compared to all of the previous wood fillers that I have used. No extensive mixing is needed. The wide opening of the container makes it easy to access the filler when applying. The narrower packages that I am familiar with are much harder to use. After waiting for the filler to dry, it was very easy to sand to obtain a smooth finish. I can’t think of any negatives except getting a 1- pack instead of a 2-pack. The wood filler is MADE IN THE USA.

This review is for the Gorilla All Purpose Wood Filler Wood Repair Kit Can't comment about the two pack as I only got one. This is a modern improved version of the old style wood filler from long ago. This one without a doubt is a stellar upgrade. One of the things that is so. much better is that this really doesn't shrink away from the wood holes that you are patching. That will make this a must have for furniture repairs in places that are visible

We got the wood filler because we have a lot of wood furniture and we do a lot of work working and having wood filler is very helpful. We also got it because it is made by gorilla glue and we love gorilla glue products. There was no installation but the product works well we used it on a wood table we had with a little chip. I would definitely recommend this product to others who have wood products.

This is a great product! Perfect to fill holes or gaps or cracks in wood. A great complete kit comes with everything including a sanding block and spreader. The texture of the filler is smooth and creamy and spreads on perfectly. As you can see in the picture I showed a screw hole I filled and I will barely need to sand it because it went on so nicely. It dries quickly and Sands easily for a beautiful smooth finish. Gorilla has another great product with this wood filler. Perfect for anyone.

Good repair for those nicks and dings that are usually on most lumber these days. I have found that this filler grips good, dries quickly and sands easily. If I have a really large area, I usually make two or more applications allowing it to dry between applications. In my experience that keeps the cracking down. I usually sand with 100 grit paper if painting and apply a good primer before the finish coat. It doesn't take stain too well. So if staining, mix a few drops of your stain to the filler before applying for a better match. This comes with a good stiff putty knife and a sanding sponge for finishing. Very handy to have around!

Overall this is a good quality wood putty. The kit includes an 8oz tub of filler, a plastic spreader putty knife and a 220 grit sanding sponge. Dries in 1 hour for thin or shallow patches and 2-6 hours for deeper holes. Sands smooth once dry and has a light tan color similar to pine wood. This is paintable and stainable once dry. Absorbs stain more like end grain wood, so it may take on a darker tone. The product is odorless and easy to work with. The plastic container reseals and should keep the putty ready for a long shelf life.
