I'm sure that it will fit in most cars, but yours may vary. Just copy the dimensions from the website and apply them to an appropriate space in your car. The packaging in-store consists of cardboard signs attached to the ladder.
First question demands a question. How big is the car? The ladder is about 5 feet and is sold without packaging. Lightweight, it is easily handled by one person. It is very.stable and the wide platform steps make it comfortable to use.
This ladder is about 4.5' long x 2' wide x 5" deep, so it should fit in most cars. Home delivery is also available for this item.
no packaging. It was taped in a few spots and had a manufacture sign stuck to it
Yes!
The Gorilla ladder fit perfectly in my suv. It also fit in my husband’s trunk . He owns a Ford escort and he just placed the back seats down. Answer #2: it was not packed. It was just openly standing in the ladder department.
This ladder did fit in the trunk of my car, you will have to lower the rear seat. This ladder comes as pictured, it does not come packaged. This is a very sturdy ladder, but be very careful not to grab the open tray when stepping down as the tray does not lock!
The best answer I can come up with is "Designed & Engineered in the U.S.A" from the "gorillaladders.com" web site. US contact is in Minn.
This ladder is designed and engineered in the United States and currently manufactured in China.
The ladder is made in China.
China.
Sorry, I don't know what is its country of origin, but I do know this is a darn good ladder if you are looking for something that gives you security with LARGE steps to make it easy to climb and easy to stand on without fear. There is also the utility space on top that you just flip open for space to put your "stuff" while you do a job. I can tell you that there is one hole in the utility space that is just right for holding a light bulb when changing a light bulb. I certainly would purchase it again and I am not ashamed to recommend it to you.
~12.4 lbs.
It’s lightweight - 12 lbs
Specs say 12.4 lbs. that seems about right to me.
From the specifications on the HD web site for this product... Product Weight (lb.) 12.4 lb
This ladder weighs 12.4 lbs.
There is no indication that it can be recycled.
In my humble opinion, California's warning system is idiotic. It is impossible to remove all risk from our lives, but their government is wasting tax dollars in an attempt to do so.
Proposition 65 Information WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including Chromium VI, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov
California emissions laws are so tight that the outgassing caused by many plastics becomes a banned product in California. Polyethylene, a soft petroleum based product is not recyclable under current guidelines. I believe that this is what composes the plastic components of this ladder. That being said, I love the strength to weight ratio and stability.
The California government is full of, what I call, "PAVERS". As in, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."
This warning is required for all items that are constructed with certain types of plastics.
No, I didn't try the Ladder with this Bucket GLA-4XT-2
At this time we don't offer a project bucket that is compatible with the GLA-4XT-2. There is a 4.5' Dual Platform Ladder with Project Bucket available though - model #GLX-4B, available here: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Gorilla-Ladders-4-5-ft-Aluminum-Dual-Platform-Heavy-Duty-Hybrid-Ladder-9-ft-Reach-300-lbs-Capacity-with-Project-Bucket-GLX-4B/313983858
Yes I bought this ladder great around house
Lightweight for my 94 yr old father and steady for him to change a lightbulb or grab something on a shelf. Thanks
I am 5' and I easily reached the ceiling lights that I changed out. Hope this helped.
Absolutely, and very comfortably as well.
The 4.5 ft version should be tall enough for you seeing how my wife is 4'10" tall and can reach 8ft ceiling easily. She loves this product due to the light weight. Hope this helps.
Either should do.. It would depend on your sense of balance.. I would not necessarily work off the top step at full reach for very long ( I too am about 5'4" and I am old.. ) The 5.5 might be a more versatile option for you. This is a handy ladder and you will find lots of uses for it around the house. Fairly light to carry and the "tray" is handy for hand tools.
We have 2 of these step ladders to do our curtain installations. We are both 5' & 5'4" in height. They are easy to carry, work from and the flip top tray is super for screws. Enjoy this product. We are; Your "Favorite" Decorator company.
Not exactly. I would get one that is a bit higher, otherwise you will need to work on the top shelf of the ladder and that might not work with you being my height at 5'4"
I did it with no problem. I am 5'2". A 5.5ft one could be even more comfortable but a bit heavier. If you go up and down the stairs, I would get this one.
Yes this ladder would wok out perfectly for that project.
Yes, this is plenty high for your project. I'm 5'5" and have to duck a little under our 8' ceilings when on the top step.
Yes, this height should be perfect for working in a room with 8 ft. ceilings.
The steps are aluminum and have a non-slip surface.
it is not slippery proof. there are little grooves formed into each step; however, each step is bare aluminium, so wear rubber soled shoes....it is a fantastic versatile ladder. I have two- when I go kayaking, I stand on one, a person stands on the other and we lift the kayak onto the auto.
They grooved and wide.
This is a great light weight platform for inside tasks. It is easily carried from job to job and has a solid base for working on.
Technically no, they are aluminum with ribs extruded into the surface. That's great for not slipping front to back, but not so much side to side. More than sufficient for me and by the way, that's how more than 90% of all ladders are constructed.
