The claw was hard to retract and then it sidnt retract even a half of an inch
When using the first time it was very hard to press in for the claw to come out and when it did it didn't even come out a half of inch I could barely see the the claw and so I thought I was doing something wrong so I looked the product up and it wasn't anything in due to my part then when I tried pressing in the handle for a third time it complet50factobut I am very dissatisfied with this purchase considering it really could have been a great tool for me to use.

Something about the design of the claws causes them to retract before actually grabbing most objects. Then the claws disappeared into the wire sheath and couldn't easily be forced out. Then when they did finally pop out it was only about a half inch - useless. Made by PF WaterWorks, possibly a name to avoid when purchasing ANYTHING!

Hello Customer, This is a simple tool and as is true with any tool they work best when used for applications and operating range they are designed for. It should be able to pick-up a ring - of course if it is too small then it may not have enough stroke to hold it. Please contact us at sales@pfwaterworks.com so we can understand the issue you faced and offer suitable assistance to resolve it. Thanks. pfwaterworks

I have always wanted a tool like this, but never purchase until a week ago. Just within a weeks time I had to retrieve a bone from a garbage disposal and a small toy from a sewer pipe. Tool paid for itself, great investment. I would recommend this tool to all contractors and DYIers!!!
