Depends on the tip orifice size and the stain, paint or primer you plan to use. Specifications are located on the back of the can. The smaller the number for the orifice size in the tip that will be a smaller orifice size adequate for the recommendation specification. Will this fit on a Graco Magnum X5 Airless 3000 PSI Stand Paint Sprayer
This tip is not compatible with the Magnum X5 sprayer due to the tip orifice size. The orifice size of the tip is .021in, which is more than the Maximum tip orifice size for the Magnum X5 sprayer (.015in). It does fit; however, we DO NOT recommend using this size as wear issues of the pump will occur and require replacement of the pump. Is this the tip size that I should use to spray Behr Barn & Fence paint?
Based on the Behr Barn & Fence paint technical data sheet (NO. 35 BARN WHITE), it recommends a "Tip: .015"- .019" and for Thinning: If required, thin with water at a rate of no more than 1/2 pint per gallon".
