With the Greenes Tall Tiers Dovetail Raised Garden Bed kit you can construct a garden with heights of 14.5 in. for the top tier and 10.5 in. for the lower tiers. That means great soil depth and a lot of growing room for your favorite plants, vegetables, or flowers. You'll love the functionality, the look, and the ease of assembly of this kit. To put the frame together, just slide the boards into the corner joints. There's no better way to start your garden growing to great heights.

        Q:Since they're untreated, should I apply a stain or water treatment for them to last longer? I hear they warping after a year.

        A:  The garden bed is made from untreated cedar wood. A stain or sealant can be applied if desired.

          A:  Brian - I would wholeheartedly recommend a sealant. I used a product called Garden-Seal. It was like thin white-wood glue. I think it will do a great job of keeping the boards dryer. I also used a water-safe wood glue to glue my boards together as I assembled the garden beds. And I used caulking where the boards connected to the corner posts.

          Here’s some Pros and Cons Pros > Price is very reasonable, especially for cedar > Easy to assemble > It is constructed in a way that allows for natural expansion and contraction Cons > Hard to move once assembled, the posts are routed out in a key way profile to receive the side pieces so they will just fall out the bottom if you try to move it. > Only 1x sides so they are very flimsy and will bow out

            Falling apart after 1 year
            I really wanted to like these beds. These were very easy to put together-I did it without any tools and on my own. They looked great for the first year. By year 2 several of the boards had warped and were pulling apart. Because of the cut on the edges they are not easily replaced, nor does there seem to be an easy fix. For my next beds I will just buy the lumber and build them myself.

              all dovetails off center and only 1 side cut you would be better off with 4×6×4's 4×4×4's and a bunch of deck screws

                I wanted to have a garden this year & need a raised box. I looked at this one, then priced lumber to build. While deciding, the price went up a little, but this kit was still cheaper than buying lumber at this time. I picked it up at the store, pretty heavy box, & purchased 24 bags of top soil & manure. Assembly was very easy! Went together with no issues & looks great in the yard! I actually have more room for extra plants next year!!

                Easy and Sturdy
                Put this together with my 4 year old son in about 30 minutes. Wife loves it and first perfectly in the back corner of our yard. Definitely recommend. We had it shipped as well and everything came in good shape.

                    This was so easy to put together. I love that you can leave a short side off to easily fill with dirt. It has bowed a little on one of the long sides because I’m not using the center divider but otherwise it is holding up fine.
