Should unfinished rsised gardens be stained or is there a coating on them already?
    ByJun 16, 2025
    1 Answer |
    Answer This Question

Our raised garden beds are made from solid cedar wood—completely untreated and free from chemicals or stains, making them safe for organic vegetable gardening. Unlike many imported options that use wood scraps bonded with glue and treated with preservatives, we use solid, sustainably sourced cedar. Cedar is naturally rot- and insect-resistant, so sealing is not necessary for longevity. If you prefer added protection or a specific look, you may apply any exterior wood stain or sealer based on your needs.

Can casters be attached to the legs
      ByJun 12, 2025
      1 Answer |
      Answer This Question

Yes, casters can be attached to the legs. The legs are 2.5” square, so they provide a solid surface for mounting. Just be sure to pre-drill the holes to prevent the wood from splitting.

Should I put a weed barrier on the bottom and some said they put a layer of sand on the bottom. To keep the dirt from dripping it.?
        ByMay 5, 2025
        1 Answer |
        Answer This Question

This elevated garden bed already includes a liner, which is designed to help keep soil in place while still allowing proper drainage, so no additional barrier is needed. Adding a layer of sand at the bottom is not necessary and may actually affect how well the soil drains over time. You can simply use the included liner and fill the bed with your preferred soil for best results.

Since they are rough cut and not treated and I live in Michigan and they will stay outside and I plan on growing food. Should I sand and put a safe natural sealant on them and cover them The winter?
          ByDec 27, 2024
          1 Answer |
          Answer This Question

Cedar is naturally rot-resistant, making it an excellent material for outdoor garden beds. Since you plan on growing food, using a natural, food-safe sealant could help if you’re concerned about moisture absorption or weathering, but it is not necessary. Sanding the wood to allow for the stain to adhere better is a good option if you choose to seal it. We do not recommend covering the beds during winter. Cedar performs well outdoors as-is, even in harsh winters. Lastly, we advise against disassembling the beds for winter, as this can compromise their structural integrity over time. They’re designed to withstand the elements, so you can leave them in place confidently.

How tall is the planter from ground level to top of bed?
            ByNov 30, 2024
            1 Answer |
            Answer This Question

The height of the garden bed without the decorative caps, from the ground to the top, is 31 inches. With the decorative caps, from the ground to the top, it is 31.75 inches.

              ByOct 26, 2023
              1 Answer |
              Answer This Question

The planter does not need to be covered, but covering it could extend the life of the wood.

Yes, but it was very easy, very clear and easy directions and went together perfectly well.  It’s been awhile since I bought these (2 of them) I don’t remember how much assembly I had to do but I do remember I did it myself and they went together quite nicely and fairly quickly.  They’ve also held up very nicely, I’m very pleased with them.

Don't waste your money and a horrible mess!
Run from this horrible product! I bought 3 beds. All the wood was split. Contacted the company. Greenes. They said they beds will be stable and not to worry. Two years later, 2 beds have collapsed, and dirt all over my lawn. The third one is about to collapse i reported the issue to the company. The owner said he would send me compensation for 2. When I asked for compensation for 3, he list his temper and hung up on me. I have reported everything to the BBB. THIS IS A BAD PRODUCT! Don't waste your money! Get a different brand and a better quality.

                            Easy Assembly, Poor Quality
The best thing thing about this planter is the ease of assembly, ready in minutes and nice touch that they add landscap fabric. Although disappointed with the integrity of the product in terms of its structural strength. Priced fairly high compared to its size and other elevated beds on the market. Upon opening the package and assembling I realize there are multiple large splits in the wood, specifically in the legs and was disappointed. Waited multiple days because almost all Home Depot’s in my area displays little to none of these products. Surprised it got past QC, will see if it holds up. Pictures will be posted.

These were amazing to put together. Took maybe 20 minutes. Bought 2 and were super impressed we wanted more. Well made, great material, and love the size.

                                Missing pieces and splintered wood
One of the base cedar pieces was missing. Wood was not smooth. Disappointed. Trying to contact company for the missing piece but not easy so we’ll see what happen otherwise I’m sending it back

                                  Cedar planters
I bought 2 of the cedar boxes (delivered) 1 went right together and had the natural charm of cedar cracking and checking, milling was good for a planter. Unfortunately they provided the wrong leg in the second box, only milled on one side. It happens, I’ll go cry to HD and hopefully get the correct piece so I can assemble the last one. Beyond the part they didn’t mill everything was as expected and would purchase again

                                    Poorly made.
Upon arrival I immediately opened the box to find random wood shoved in there, whatever. Then came the assembly, after laying out all the pieces I found one of four vertical legs wasn't cut twice . Therefore I would not be able to put this together. Back in the box, called customer service and was refunded my money. If you buy this, check the parts throughly.

I have to say I love the boxes. They went together well. I do have a complaint as i have not gotten to put the landscaping fabric on and i came out to the boxes in the morning. I found three boards were warped. When i went to pick them up to turn them over a board split. I am assuming the others will follow. Who can reach out to me to send me replacement boards. I would have given them five stars but for the exception of the warping and breakage

                                        Terrible quality. Warped boards.
At least two of the boards were warped. The wood is very rough and splintery, and after assembly there is a large gap between two of the side boards because of the warping. Terrible quality
