The Grisham 3 in. one-way screw (4-pack) features a black powder-coated finish for weather durability. For use with all Grisham spearpoint window bar mounting brackets or fastener applications where possible tampering could occur. The non-reversing safety screw design inhibits removal of the fastener.

    Q:I need to remove my security bars on my windows to replace the windows but i do not have the tool to remove the screws.

    A:  Dave, The removal tools are difficult to find, and must be specifically sized to the screw head to work properly, and success is not certain. Another method is to cut a slot into the head of the screw for use with a flat head screwdriver. Someone would need to use an electric hand held grinder with a cutting wheel to establish a modest slot. Thank You, Grisham Bros.

        A:  Door screws are generally 4" long, where as these are only 3". While they will "fit", they are not secure.
