I have been a laminate installer for 30 years and I go through a lot of files. Today I needed a file so I thought I would give these a try. I was very disappointed. These files don't cut smoothly and lose their bite very quickly. They also have a tendancy to grab and gouge. If you are doing a countertop and need a file I would recommend the Nicholson 8" Handy File. They are better quality and five dollars cheaper. I would recommend the Handy File over the Gundlach even if it cost more.
