are Maple tree seeds helicoptors sit on top of the gutter guards?
        ByApr 18, 2026
        1 Answer |
        Answer This Question

Our stainless steel micro mesh is engineered to keep even the smallest debris out of your gutters, including cottonwood seeds. Through normal weather cycles of drying and rainfall, these seeds are naturally washed off your gutter guards—provided the system is installed at the recommended slope of 5 to 25 degrees.

Can these be sprayed to match my musket brown gutters. If yes what paint would you recommend. Also what type of sealant should I use in the corners. Can you put silicon under the front edge before screwing down?
          ByMar 5, 2026
          1 Answer |
          Answer This Question

Hi Rocky, Thank you for reaching out to us. We do not suggest spraying the Stainless-steel micro mesh gutter guard as it may clog the holes and void the warranty. However, if you really wanted to apply paint coating, you could just apply it on the Aluminum frames, just make sure to be careful not to clog any part of the screen area and any paint coating works. And if you will apply sealant on the corners, any sealant should work but commonly sealant should not be necessary. Lastly, applying silicon under the front edge before screwing is okay. Also, I attach a link of the website where you can watch installation videos that you can use as a guide for your installation: https://www.gutterguard.com/ss-install-guide/ Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any additional questions, we are always happy to help! Are these copatible with copper gutters?
            ByFeb 22, 2026
            1 Answer |
            Answer This Question

Hello John! Yes, the Stainless Steel Micromesh Gutter Guard can be installed on copper gutters. Where there is a presence of water, air, and dissimilar metals, sometimes corrosion can occur. If you are still concerned, you can always apply a coating on the mill-finish aluminum. All hardware stores sell paint coating products that you can apply to a mill finish aluminum. In a majority of the installations, the stainless steel micro-mesh doesn’t come in contact with the copper gutter because it’s installed between the front and rear mill finish extrusions.

Do the 5.5 inch guard going under the shingles? Or do they sit on the back of the gutter itself?
                ByDec 1, 2025
                1 Answer |
                Answer This Question

Hello Toms! The recommended installation for the Stainless-Steel Micromesh gutter guards is to slide them under the shingles, between the last layer of shingle and the underlayment. If sliding under the shingles isn’t possible, you can use the “Below the Roofline” installation method. In this case, you would bend the back rail of the gutter guard either up or down and secure it by screwing through the mesh into the fascia, drip edge, or back of the gutter.

I installed these on one full section of gutter with a valley (inside corner). It was late spring and the pollen was still thick. My roof was covered with pollen and we hadn't had rain for a couple of weeks. The first rain we got washed down all the particular type of pollen that was out at that time, which is velvety and soft. It rolled up together and basically made a mat on the mesh of the Gutter Guard. This did cause it to run over in the corner. However, the rest of the gutters remained clean enough to drain. Overall, still happy with them and plan to install on the rest of my house.

                  Not very happy with product
Not happy with it. I have a 5” gutters, but thin thing doesn’t cover completely. So you need 7” for 5” if you have metal roof.

Response from Gutterglove SupportApr 13, 2026
Thank you for your feedback, and I’m really sorry the fit wasn’t right for your gutters. To make sure you get the correct size, the best approach is to measure from the back, top edge where your house meets the gutter, all the way to the very front outside lip. If your gutter measures 5 inches wide or less, our Standard 5" version is the right fit. If it measures anything over 5 inches up to 7 inches, you’ll need our Super 6" version. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. GutterGlove

Gutter Guard was easy to installed. We chose this option because it is stainless steel and it came with adhesive and screws as options to install. The adhesive back made it convenient. Easy to cut and fold, if necessary. They been installed for a month now and they are still holding in place. No issues with shipping, they arrived within reasonable time to my front door.

This product is of high quality and meets my expectations to last for a long time. They can be easily bent to fit under the shingles that overhang along the edge of the roof. They can be secured on the front of the gutter with either the adhesive strip or with the provided self-tapping screws. These guards will keep leaves out of the gutters for sure to allow for proper water removal.

The guards are great and easy to install. Strong mesh. I'm surrounded by fir trees so I'm hoping the small diameter mesh will keep the needles out. Loved the self tapping screws.did 200' in 4 1/2hrs. 2 people. The park and text and they bring it out was a total failure after 45min I went inside to pick up my gutters. Obviously I wasn't in a hurry.

Very easy to install and easy to do custom cuts if needed. Keeps all debris including roof grit, pine/redwood needles etc from entering the gutters. Mesh can be sharp so gloves are recommended.
