Our stainless steel micro mesh is engineered to keep even the smallest debris out of your gutters, including cottonwood seeds. Through normal weather cycles of drying and rainfall, these seeds are naturally washed off your gutter guards—provided the system is installed at the recommended slope of 5 to 25 degrees.
Hi Rocky, Thank you for reaching out to us. We do not suggest spraying the Stainless-steel micro mesh gutter guard as it may clog the holes and void the warranty. However, if you really wanted to apply paint coating, you could just apply it on the Aluminum frames, just make sure to be careful not to clog any part of the screen area and any paint coating works. And if you will apply sealant on the corners, any sealant should work but commonly sealant should not be necessary. Lastly, applying silicon under the front edge before screwing is okay. Also, I attach a link of the website where you can watch installation videos that you can use as a guide for your installation: https://www.gutterguard.com/ss-install-guide/ Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any additional questions, we are always happy to help! Hello John! Yes, the Stainless Steel Micromesh Gutter Guard can be installed on copper gutters. Where there is a presence of water, air, and dissimilar metals, sometimes corrosion can occur. If you are still concerned, you can always apply a coating on the mill-finish aluminum. All hardware stores sell paint coating products that you can apply to a mill finish aluminum. In a majority of the installations, the stainless steel micro-mesh doesn’t come in contact with the copper gutter because it’s installed between the front and rear mill finish extrusions.
Hi Terry, Our box is 4 feet long nominal footage. Thanks
Hello Toms! The recommended installation for the Stainless-Steel Micromesh gutter guards is to slide them under the shingles, between the last layer of shingle and the underlayment. If sliding under the shingles isn’t possible, you can use the “Below the Roofline” installation method. In this case, you would bend the back rail of the gutter guard either up or down and secure it by screwing through the mesh into the fascia, drip edge, or back of the gutter.
