Very satisfied with this product. I'm installing them with a suspended ceiling grid, however I'm unable to install them on top of the
grid system because I'm using coffered ceiling tiles and the unit (can) is down to low. My grid is approx. 5" below the ceiling joists.
I installed the unit on the joists just as you would if you had planned to use sheet rock. I then lowered the can portion of the housing
approx. 3 1/4" that made the rim of the can equal to the coffered ceiling tile. Three screws hold the can to the housing one of the three
has some lower slots cut into the can. I had to drill the other two to allow all three screws to be reinstalled thus lowering the can portion
to the level I needed. It would have been very helpful if Halo had slots positioned under all three screws to allow multiple levels of lowering
to accommodate a variety of panels.

Ease of installation. The slides move in and out easily and can be nailed a number of ways and provision for suspended ceilings as well. When you want a lot of light, this is the size to choose. An additional outstanding feature is the easy wire connections built in. Strip the wire and push it in place. There are enough 'push-in' slots to easily wire from one light to the next.

Pretty easy to install, even with slanted studs/joists. Can be adjusted to lower if you've got a thick/tile ceiling.

Easy Installation, very affordable
I recently purchased 8 of these canned lights for a basement remodel. They installed very easily with the help of someone holding the unit while it is being fastened in place.
I would recommend using short drywall screws to fasten them to the ceiling joists rather than the provided nails. The use of screws will make it much easier to adjust if you need to move it for whatever reason. I used the nails and it is almost destructive to get them out.
The wire connectors are so easy to hook up, even a dummy could do it. Highly recommend for new construction.

Low price for high quality lights!!
This recessed lighting that I purchased adds a great expensive look to my room.It gives off a great bright light as if I have 3 in 1.it gives of a direct spotlight when you stand under it, which is exactly what I needed when I perform.it was very light weight and easy to install. You don't need a electrician if you have general knowledge of electricity. I recommend this product to every one.
