Can I cover these up with plywood on the ceiling joists?
Please note that the RL6LS9FSD2W1EWHDM is IC-rated, meaning it's suitable for direct contact with air-permeable insulation, covering it with plywood directly on the ceiling joists is not recommended. This would block airflow and could create a fire hazard.
Can these lights fit in a 6 inch hole in my ceiling? I se the specs state 5 3/4 but I have 6” holes already Is there a trim kit to make them fit

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM CEILING THICKNESS THAT THESE CON BE INSTALLED IN?
Please note that Halo fixture Model# RL6069S1EWHDMR can be installed in 1/2” to 1-1/4” thick ceilings. So, 1-1/4” is the maximum ceiling thickness that you can install these lights in. I have these installed. Can you replace with RL D2W (RL6069FSD2W1EWHDM) serier and use the same driver as this light? I’d like the D2W white feature if possible.
Please note that you need to use the driver you received in the RL6069FSD2W1EWHDM box to use the D2W (Dim-to-Warm) feature. The RL6069FSD2W1EWHDM driver is designed specifically with D2W and selectable CCT options, the older driver (RL6069S1EWHDMR) does not have D2W option on the onboard selectable switch. Is there a minimum clearance between the fixture and adjacent ceiling joists?
Please note you can install the Model # RL6LS9FSD2W1EWHDM fixture in contact with the wooden joist. But leave a gap if possible. These are Wet and Damp location listed. How thick is the box? I have T&G ceiling/flooring sandwiched around 2x4 sleepers (only 1-1/2” clearance between them). Will I be able to fit the box into the hole and slide it into that space?
