This HDX easy access flip top tote comes in a 17 Gal. capacity, allowing for plenty of storage space. The added metal hinges through the attached lid provides extra strength and durability for a more flexible use. Pre-drilled holes in the top of the lid are added to make these lockable and accept cable ties for security. When not in use, these storage containers can be nested to give you more storage space.

Good tote, but good luck getting the label off
Good tote, as advertised in the reviews. HDX could make a little effort and use a removable adhesive for the labels though. If you have these in plain sight and don't want to look at a ratty label, enjoy the half hour it will take you to get it off.

Great quality, low price. This looks really good and super sturdy. And it is yellow and black, just like bees and hornets but much more useful than these flying insects for storing things safely and carrying in the back of your vehicle. It closes nicely and you can stack quite a few on top of each others. Super solid, and super convenient at an affordable price: whats not to like?

I'm tried this 17 gallon tote to replace some 5 year old Rubbermaid totes that had either cracked at the container itself, or have cracked or missing lids. The plastic material of this tote is much stiffer with less give compared to my old totes. I'm hoping this results in a longer lasting container. I really like that fact that the lid is hinged to the tote so that it can never be lost. I also like the fact that both halves of the lid interlock with each other when closed and can actually be secured closed with a zip tie or tie wrap. This will prevent bugs or other unwanted creatures from making their way into your storage bin as well as creating a stiff platform to stack another container on top of. I plan on buying several more of these totes and rearranging my overhead storage rack.

It's always nice to have organized storage and this flip-top tote is a good way to go. The tote is well made and seems sturdy enough that you could stack several loaded totes on top of one another, the flat, recessed top helps with stacking too. I like the hinged top because it opens easily and closes with overlapping edges for a secure seal. I also like that the top is not removable like others that I have, that way the top is always with the tote. Interior size is approximately 24" long x 15" wide x 12" deep.

Perfect size for cabinet top storage! The hinged lids mean that I don't ever have to worry about losing the top and don't get in the way when loading/unloading the container. These containers are very sturdy as well. If you're like me, you have "stuff" that you want to store but take up too much room on your cabinet shelves or maybe are too tall for the shelf where you have enough depth space. Problem solved! Since I presently only have 1 of these, I've got it turned sideways but I plan to get a few more and when I turn this one sideways, I'll have plenty of room to store them! When the containers are empty, you can open the hinged tops and stack or "nest" the empty ones until you have a need for one.
The size also will tend to prevent me from overloading the container and making it too heavy for lifting or taking down. My plan is to make labels with large print to put on the sides of the containers, so I know what's inside and the smooth sides of the containers are perfect for doing this.
The best feature is the price! Cabinet space is quite expensive and when you look at how much protected space you get with these containers, they are quite a bargain! Don't let your wives see them or else you may need to make another trip to the store! :-)

Review of HDX 17 Gallon Flip Top Storage Tote:
I got a chance to check out the model 206151 HDX tote.
The fit and finish is fine.
The lid doesn’t come off; rather both sides of the lid are hinged along the length of each side of the tote (see photo below). I like this feature – the lid can’t be accidentally misplaced.
Once both sides of the lid are joined into the closed position the tote can be locked (see photo below where I used a Zip Tie).
If you get more than one of the HDX totes they are stackable. Of course, if you have empty totes you can leave the flip tops open and “nest” the empty totes inside one another.
The tote measures approximately 17.7 wide x 12.5 deep x 26.8 long (see photos with tape measure below).
Being all neoprene (Plastic? Rubber? It’s hard to tell these days with all of the synthetics available) the totes don’t easily dent or bend and don’t make a lot of noise when moved around.
The integrated handle areas are easily gripped.
This HDX tote is just a basic, flip topped, storage tote that works as advertised that comes at a good market price and, of course, the 90-day Home Depot return policy.

This tote opens wide for storage of anything large or small. We are using in our garage for additional storage of clean up cloths, painting towels, and small tarps. It is perfect for easy access as the lid is hinged and opens easily. This is a strong tote that could also be used for heavy items. This size, 17 gallon, is estimated to hold up to 75 pounds.
I like the look of this tote for the garage, as it is rugged in appearance and design. This would also be a perfect tote for seasonal decorations, items to protect from moisture, or larger tools. Overall, this is a great design and a great versatile product.
