A: You should get many uses from these pads. I can't judge how well your knees will tolerate the pads but for me they are very comfortable to use.

A: yes, they are a very hard plastic. I had to look up what haunt sliding is, but I think they would be good for that. I use mine for cosplay, so I've done some pretty weird stuff in them and they hold up well.

A: The hardness may be ok but not the design. it doesn't have an angle on top to slide and protect the upper part of the knee and will probably get caught on uneven surfaces.

works well

These knee pads work well but only for short periods of time. The straps started to dig into the back of my leg. The hard outer plastic is very hard which works well so nothing penetrates the pad but its not flexible at all. For the price and small short jobs they work.
