Samsung replacement refrigerator filters for the win!
I don’t understand why the OEM filters cost so much. The replacement filters fit perfectly and I have been using them for years. My current fridge is 4 years old and I have not used the Samsung brand yet. These replacement filters from Home Depot are perfect and last just as long as the factory brands. They are super easy to install as well! I plan on keeping a backup on hand.

Good Value
HDX Filter for our Samsung refrigerator fits well into the socket and otherwise the same as the OEM filter . The FMS-2 only differs with a removable spare ring on the exposed end in the refrigerator . It carries the same spec as the OEM with the same approvals NSF and UPC according to the package , 6 Month 300 Gallon effective . According to the package it is made in the USA. Install is simple insert and twist. Be sure to flush it out The say 3 gallons. We can’t tell the difference in taste from the OEM all is good. Be sure to affix the replacement sticker to remind you to replace if your refrigerator does’t have a reminder light .

Nice Alternative to the OEM Filter
I have been having trouble finding filters for my refrigerator and was thrilled to have this HDX option. The filter fits with no issue and we haven't noticed any problems with leaking or taste with this new filter. It's nice to be able to run down the street to HD and grab one and save a few bucks in the process. We are very happy with this product and will be our go to in the future.

I'm not impressed
I ordered this HDX FMS-2 Premium Refrigerator Water Filter because we have two Samsung refrigerators: one in our home and another in a rental property, both of which use the same Samsung HAF-CINS water filter. Side by side, the HDX and Samsung filters look a lot alike and they both fit the same Samsung refrigerators. However, the HDX filter at $29.95 is about $2.50 more than I have paid for genuine Samsung filters. As shown in the side-by-side photo, the HDX filter has only a single O-ring seal compared to the Samsung's double O-rings, which could lead to leaks inside the refrigerator. The HDX filter may do the same job of filtering the water as the Samsung filter, but why pay more for a knock-off than it costs for the original manufactured product?

Easy to Install, Works Great
I installed the HDX FMS-2 - HAF-CINS Samsung Refrigerator Water Filter
This HDX replacement refrigerator water filter uses compressed carbon block which provides the ability to remove and/or reduce impurities and sediment that may be present in your drinking water. The packaging says that the carbon block has millions of active sites on its surface and within the structure which can absorb impurities like a sponge, and can absorb and hold other types of impurities on its surface like a magnet. Additionally, this filter can catalytically breakdown other impurities very similar to the way a catalytic converter works in your automobile.
Filter provides fresh and clean tasting water and ice cubes.
See pictures and the video to remove old filter & install this new filter.
Also, I didn't mention that after installing remember to throw out about 5 tall glasses of water right away.

Economical filter replacement for Samsung water and ice maker dispenser refrigerators.
My refrigerator is the newest model just purchased this January 2022. The new style cartridge is square and shorter likely the reason for the slight difference in part number, indicated by the additional "S" on the end of the OEM. I hope HDX comes out with the newer style to fit exactly in my fridge.
The only noticeable difference is the HDX is slim and linger with only one (1) O-ring to seal the connection. It does fit and he door to the fridge does close. So far no leaks. But I must assume the second O-ring seals better and is more secure. Other than that the HDX cartrig=dge performs well. Be sure to run a few gallons of water throughte systems to clear out the fine particles inherent to all water cartridges.
Feel good your family is safe from harmful impurities in your drinking water. Get the sparkling clear ice cubes you'll want on your favorite drinks.

Good Replacement Filter
When you have a water/ ice feature in the fridge, that filter needs to be changed routinely. This HDX filter was a good choice for my Samsung refrigerator as it does what other higher price filters do. The filter removes about ninety nine percent of contaminants from the water including lead, chlorine, fluoride, iron, rust and many more but does not remove minerals good for our health.
It absorbs impurities and holds other types of impurities on its surface like a magnet. Additionally, this filter can catalytically breakdown other impurities. Micron coconut shell carbon block does the filtering inside the filter.
Changing the filter was easy because the filter is right up front, easy to access. First turn off water under the sink, remove old filter and push in and twist new filter to lock in.
This fridge has an icemaker but not a water feature, so the icemaker must fill up the bucket and discard the ice to clear out the filter before using ice. The first drop of cubes has some dark cubes shown in one of the pics, but now, even though they look clear, I'll wait for more drops. It would be easier to just run water if that was possible.
The filter has a three hundred gallon filtering capacity, or about six months.

HDX replacement water filter for Samsung refrigerator
i ordered this HDX water filter for use in my refrigerator because of its affordable price compared to the Samsung brand filter. this is a high quality filter that is NSF certified to reduce over 70 contaminants that may be in your water, is good for filtering 300 gallons of water or 6 months of use and it is made in the USA. installation is easy and no tools are required, just insert into filter holder, twist clockwise 1/4 turn and lock into place with arrows on filter and refrigerator aligned. i am very satisfied with this product and i can't see any difference between it and the name brand other than the price.

Water filter easy installation
I just replaced my Samsung water is water filter. It was very easy to do less than one minute to replace my water filter. My water pressure has increased East and the water taste better. I shut the water supply vow off open my refrigerator door. Found the filter gave it a torque quarter turn pulled it out pushed a new one in quarter term turn and back on. And it's that easy. Be sure to find your model number to order the correct water filter. A very small investment for great taste in clean water.
