"Stout" is the name of the size of the product from Holdrite. It is intended to work with matching Holdrite "Stout" clamps. Works well to support pipe, conduit and even cable.
The bracket could be used alone, but you are missing out by doing that. It is intended to be used along with the matching Holdrite clamps. The combination makes for an excelled pipe support system with good mechanical support and good acoustic isolation.
It comes with the ends straight, but they can easily be bent for use within stud or joist bays (which is what I did). I used this to support 3/4" PEX tubing,

When I first became aware of this product, the "Holdrite 13 in. - 25 in. Galvanized Steel Adjustable Stout Bracket", it was like a quick solution for a lot of structural and electrical installations that I have encountered in my life.
For example supporting junction boxes for, switches, receptacles, fans and electrical fixtures, reinforcing rafters and storage racks in your garage, attic, tool shed, yard, etc...
This adjustable bracket is well designed, sturdy, built with quality materials. Can be adjusted between non parallel surfaces at most any angle.
I love it and I recommend it.

HOLDRITE 13 IN. - 25 IN. GALVANIZED STEEL ADJUSTABLE STOUT BRACKET IS VERY USEFUL FOR VARIOUS APPLICATIONS. i USE IT TO HOLD MY CHILDREN'S DRESSER IN PLACE TO ENSURE IT DOES NOT TIP OVER. INSTALLATION WAS VERY EASY (FACE MOUNTING TO STUDS) AND TOOK NO MORE THAN 5 MINUTES. WE HAVE AN MODERN HOME BUT THE STUDS SEEM TO BE OFF THE STANDARD 16 O.C. (BUT NOT BY ALOT) SO BEING ABLE TO ADJUST AND ENSURE THAT I HIT THE STUD CENTER WAS CRITICAL.

The Holdrite 13 in. - 25 in. Galvanized Steel Adjustable Stout Bracket will be handy for adding diagonal braces to some of the table/bench projects I have in mind. I will get more of these as they will be handy to have on hand. I had previously made these braces from 1/2" EMT conduit by cutting to the proper length, mashing the ends flat, drilling a hole in each end and bending the ends as required. These Holdrite brackets will be much quicker to install and much less labor intensive.

The HOLDRITE galvanized adjustable bracket I received is of solid and heavy construction. I would like to use these brackets to install some duct work in my attic. The bracket is telescoping and gives up to 24 inches of working area. The maximum weight with it fully extended is 68lbs in center. I had originally envisioned using a cloth webbing designed to hang duct but with the detail of these brackets maybe some fine cabling or or a banding type application would work well. The brackets have ears which are able to be bent and shaped while still of strong enough steel (16 gauge) as to not worry about failing or diminishing in rigidity. These brackets should make my duct installation much easier and look more professional plus I should never have to worry about rust.

This is a sturdy, inexpensive and top quality bracket!
It offers so many solutions to installations of shower-heads, electrical conduits in walls, ceiling fans and lighting, venting and plumbing that its applications are practically numerous.
I like that it is has very tight tolerances between the pieces, making it not so wobbly and nice and tight, so that you don't have to worry about pieces sliding out of each other when you're trying to nail them with one hand. Sideways shear tensile strength is just great with at least 20lbs and failure point at the brackets at 48 lbs. Installation between studs allows for at least triple that load-bearing. Manufacturing is superb, with stamped at various points for rigidity out of sheet metal, then abrasive bath to remove any sharp edges and then galvanized plating for superior rust resistance.
Outstanding job done by Holdrite at unbeatable price!

Sometimes you need a bracket to install between studs to retain wires or pipes or whatever. This adjustable bracket slides easily to whatever dimension you need it to be from thirteen to twenty-five inches. So either stud walls or joists are no problem for this easy bracket. Can be nailed or screw set to anchor the two sides. Has smaller holes that fit wire retainers perfectly
These are a fast easy alternative for hanging pipes. I have a very old home, whose 'studs' are not evenly spaced. Being able to adjust these to the exact size needed, and being able to bend the end tabs for different mounting angles, makes these a time saver. The Description claims maximum length is 25", but at 25", there is less than 1" of overlap. Depending on use, you might want to brace it in the middle if extending it that far.
FWIW ... mine did not 'Include 4 Screws'; which is fine. I doubt I would have used them.

We use adjustable stud brackets often and this style/brand is as good as they get. The flat brackets are less expensive, but we find this style easier to fit and adapt with the remodel work we do, and we've used them for other in wall applications in addition to plumbing. The end tabs allow you recess the bracket and mount on asymetric surfaces. It expands smoothly and allows attachment along the entire span. Can't think of anything to improve on it!
I received my 13inch to 25-inch bracket, this bracket is heavy duty and will support a lot of weight.
You can surface mount these to studs or recess install them. I use these heavy-duty brackets for a lot of different applications; these brackets are convenient to keep around for various jobs. The brackets are also galvanized, which is a nice feature.
Overall these brackets will work for way more than just piping.
