SUMMARY: A HANDY BRACKET FOR STUB-OUTS
BACKGROUND: I’m redoing some plumbing in my shop and wanted to avoid in-wall connections. I decided to use HOLDRITE 704 turnouts and the HOLDRITE 103-18 support bracket.
FIT AND FINISH: This is a new product line for me, but the bracket looked fairly sturdy.
FEATURES: At 18 inches long it can span more than 16 inch centers. There are several mounting holes on each end to ensure best mounting alignment. There are 7 mounting holes on 2 inch centers, so it’s easy to have a variety of standard spacing using the one bracket. Although I used the 704 turnouts the bracket is designed for use with several other HOLDRITE turnouts and stubouts.
INSTALLATION: I was working in 50 degree temperature and the 1/2” PEX was STIFF. I mounted the bracket first, installed the turnouts, but then had difficulty bending the PEX to thread it through, or lock it into, the turnouts. I ended up dismounting the brackets, bending the PEX into the turnouts, then reattaching the assembly to the studs.
SUMMARY: I like this product line and the fittings
PROS: Part of integrated system. Easy to use.

We are adding electrical and plumbing to a downstairs laundry room and were looking for options other than using stud clips for the outlets. We opted for the Holdrite 20 in. galvanized support bracket to route the Pex and shielded electrical cables through the wall, prior to putting up the drywall. The support bracket is easy to install and is compatible with a variety of Holdrite routing attachments. It is durable and strong as well as offering options not available with other kinds of braces do not. These brackets are relatively inexpensive and are perfect for wall pass through of both plumbing and electrical applications.

Galvanized steel standard support bracket has many uses. It can span studs in walls to support plumbing lines and fixtures. It can accommodate multiple sizes of pipes from 1/2” to 1”. Can also run electrical lines and conduits through it for added support and protection. Will stand the test of time and rust because of galvanized and strength properties. It can also be bent easily to use as pipe hangers. See pics below.

I bought this planning on installing a water softener system for my home, but I have decided not to install the system. This galvanized bracket is compatible with PE-RT, PEX, Copper and CPVC. Depending on the type of plumbing you are using you will need stub-out clamps for the size of pipe you are using. This is for pipe sizes 1.2", 3/4", and 1" piping. This did not come with instructions, and I am not a plumber, but it seems straight forward. Secure to studs with nails or screws, add your stub out clamps, and run your pipes.
The Holdrite 20 in. Galvanized Steel Standard Support Bracket will get a unique use. I have buried irrigation tubing to several locations in our yard and all run to a central location near a hydrant. I will use the support bracket to make the manifold and support the valves to the various zones. I would have liked to have this installed by now so a photo could be included. However a recent unseasonable snowfall will probably delay this until spring.

This bracket is part of the HoldRite system to secure pipes.
It works specifically with the.HoldRite stub-out clamp.
It might not work with any other brand.
It works easiest with new construction for two reasons.
1. If you have existing sheet rock you would have to slip it behind it (as shown in the below picture)
2. It takes up about 2” of room and you may have to install a longer water line stub if your current one is 3” or less.
It is sturdy and has openings for 6 stub-out clamps (for the 20” version).
Each opening is 2” apart for multiple lines or various spreads.
As shown below, I have these at 8” spread.
It came with no instructions, but is fairly intuitive.
Obviously, the 20” version would be for smaller bays, such as 16” OC studs..
With the stub-out clamp, holds the supply lines well and at the same height

Good strong support bracket. It’s pretty thick steel but it is galvanized so it shouldn’t corrode quickly. It worked out good and luckily I didn’t have to do any bends on it for my application because it’s actually pretty thick but if I had to bend I’m sure I could. It’s definitely strong enough to hold any long plumbing or conduit runs and definitely makes me feel confident that it won’t fail on me. 3/4” fits no problem and it fits about 1 1/2” outside diameter pipe through any of the slots. I like the length of it because the screw holes line up with any stud 16” on center home. It’s good quality and I’m sure it will serve its purpose for a long time.

I used the galvanize steel support bracket when remodeling my basement. The support bracket was critical when I was installing the sink to ensure the stub did not move. Installation is pretty simple and since it is Galvanize steel even if there was water leakage, It will ensure that there is no damage to the bracket. Always do a dry fit before installing just to avoid the headache.
I received my Holdrite 20 in. Galvanized Steel Standard Support Bracket. This HoldRite Bracket is intended to be a support for plumbing supply lines including copper, PEX, CPVC, and PE-RT pipe. Sizes of pipe supported by this bracket include 1/2 in., 3/4 in., and 1 in. It's made from steel that has a galvanized coating so there is no worry of corrosion, rot, splitting and failing in the elements, in shops, garages, under a house, wet locations, etc. I will have a project in the future that I will be using this bracket. It is made in the USA.

This galvanized bracket provides a variety of installation options and is suitable for use with varying pipe sizes of half inch, three quarter inch and one inch. The product is well made with consistent sizing and smooth edges. The galvanization means this bracket is going to work for a long, long time without suffering any degradation. Topically, it is also American made.
