Can the fan be wired to 2 switches? If Yes, do both switches need to be the smart switch that is provided with the fan? if both need to be the "smart" switch can I buy another switch? I have wall switches at both doors into the room.

How to hook up wall switch
The switch stopped working after 18 months; about 1 week later the switch started to get “hot” and there was a burnt smell of the switch. Is this a frequent occurrence with this type of switch. How often should I be prepared cough up $180?
same over here, the lcd surface got hot, is there a way to replace the switch? I have had this for about 24 months or more. I have removed the switch to prevent overheating. Can someone respond?
