Q:Hello,
I would like to know what's the difference between (Husky-fire retardant vrs regular poly sheeting 6mm) both materials look the same but one isn't due to a fire retardant material. But upon close inspection they both look closely matched.

Gray and NOT Translucent
I was expecting between clear and white, translucent, just as the title and product overview state... I was very mistaken. You cannot trust this listing. The proof is in my attached pictures.
I did not bother reading reviews or checking the questions. I purchased this to make an automotive paint booth which needs light... This sheeting is gray with an opacity near 10%. I have included a Snap-On bright orange pick to show what this sheeting looks like. You can clearly see that barely any light is allowed through. The product listing is straight up incorrect. Upon further research, the manufacturer Poly-American, posted a response to one question stating:
"This is a construction grade film made largely of recycled materials. While it is considered "clear", actual transparency will vary from roll to roll due to the recycled content. Also, this product does not contain any UV inhibitors. It is not intended to be exposed to the elements for a prolonged period."
There is no way that my sheeting is clear by any definition. Even their comment does not quantify the range of transparency. There is either a product listing error or poor manufacturing processes. It is one thing to use recycled material and have variation. It is entirely wrong to not specify this in the product overview. You can clearly see by the mixed reviews that there is an inherent issue here.

GRAY, NOT CLEAR
I purchased this April 2020 in the hopes of building a greenhouse at the end of the season. I didn't get to it until today. I opened the box to find GRAY plastic and definitely NOT transparent. It's useless to me. Because I didn't return it by the return date, I'm stuck with it.
I ordered another box today. When I went down to pick it up, I was helped the the assistant manager. He opened it before I left with it to be sure it was clear AS STATED ON THE BOX. It was not, it was gray. His words "I've never seen such a gross misrepresentation of a product we carry". He refunded me for the one I purchased today. I went to look for any clear plastic I could find and opened up two more boxes of this in the hopes I might actually find a clear one - nope.
When deciding whether or not to purchase this, read the most recent reviews, not the reviews from 2015/2016. They've obviously changed the product, just not the box describing whatever this used to be. I have included a picture of the packing slip. I cut out a small triangle of the plastic and laid it on the packing slip so you can see very clearly, it's gray, not clear.
If you're looking for thick plastic and don't care what color it is, go for it. If you're looking for CLEAR plastic, look elsewhere.

Its a great buy, very sturdy. We love being outside during the winter, now we can sit and enjoy our coffee or tea and watch nature in a warm place. The 6mil thickness blocks the wind just enough and with our little heater keeps us toasty warm. This product has stood up to pretty high winds so far.

Misleading description. This sheeting is NOT clear. It is instead a rather opaque grey. Clear sheeting can often be a little "cloudy" but this is way beyond that and is actually colored. If your job require any level of transparency this product is not for you. If you just need any 6 mil plastic sheeting it should work fine. I have included a picture--Husky product is the one on the right.

Works great for my backyard ice rink, perfect size and strength! After experimenting with other plastic sheeting this is by far the best for my 20X40 rink. Will continue to be my go to each and every year.

Just look at this hoop greenhouse!
We are enjoying this plastic sheeting. We have used it to make green hoop houses for vegetables for winter and in the spring we will use it to protect from frost. We plan on building a lot more green hoop houses this spring. We also used the plastic sheeting to cover our garden for winter and my motorcycle to keep the dust off!

It's just plastic, but it's a little misleading
It's just 6 mil plastic, so what more is there to say? The only complaint is it's not CLEAR, (as in you can see through it). It is semi-translucent, like a milky white. Otherwise it worked for my needs.
