Fantastic product
I tried this product on both old 18/8 stainless steel flatware, which is what it's labeled for, as well as a few other 18/10 items that are probably more common today. Overall, I was very pleased with the product. First, I should note that the product comes in a tub, and looks a lot like brown putty. I was surprised at the color, but at least it didn't have an unpleasant odor. I've posted a photo to show what the product looks like. Do keep in mind that whatever rag or towel you use to apply the product will be stained brown, so it should probably be a rag you're not planning on using for anything else. Here are my specific findings on four sample kitchen items: (1) First I tried this on vintage 1960s 18/8 stainless flatware, which is so scuffed that I'm not sure whether it ever had a mirror finish. The Hagerty Stainless Steel Wash unfortunately wasn't able to do much with this flatware...so even though it's labeled as specific to 18/8, I can't say whether it's effective. (2) I then tried my new 18/10 stainless flatware that has a true mirror finish. This flatware is so new that there wasn't much for the Hagerty product to prove. It did take off water marks, but I could probably have done that with a rag fairly easily. (3) I then tried cleaning my 18/10 stainless cookware, and this is where the Hagerty product worked wonders. Although not rated for 18/10 (not even on the website), it clearly worked, removing water marks, cooked-on grease, and even food stains. The ultimate test was a wok that had been "permanently" stained by burning risotto in it. The Hagerty product was able to take most of the risotto marks out, while also providing a like-new mirror finish to the wok. See the photos I've posted for before and after shots. (4) My fourth and most difficult test was an 18/10 frying pan that had actually been accidentally scalded at high heat. It was discolored and had black burn marks on it. While the Hagerty Stainless Steel Wash lessened those marks slightly, it was really too tough a test - the pan still looked bad after scrubbing it. Overall, I'm very pleased with the Hagerty Stainless Steel Wash. While I am perplexed as to why it only says 18/8 stainless steel on the container, I will continue to use it on my 18/10 flatware and cookware. In the past, I've used a powder cleaner intended for barkeepers, and while it works, this Hagerty paste is much easier to apply, and in fact the brown color helps you make sure that it's actually being applied appropriately on the items you're cleaning. Highly recommended.

Helped remove stain on an old stock pot I had.
I frequently cook with curry powder, and one of my old stock pots became stained orange from cooking dinner in it. I should not have used this pot for what I was cooking, but my other non-stick pot had something else cooking inside it at the time. I used a clean rag, and this product to scrub the orange stain right out of it. Someone wrote a review stating this product didn't have an odor to it, but that is not true. It most definitely has a strong ammonia-like odor to it, which is the only disadvantage I found to using it. I feel this product might be most useful to those who have a large quantity of stainless-steel items they need cleaned/restored, otherwise it might not be worth the cost.

Great for the BBQ
Bought this to polish the BBQ. I have a medium size 3 burner with side tables. It worked great. It even removed some grunge I couldn't get with the green scrubby sponge and soap. Kind of like when you wax your car you get a bit more dirt off you didn't realize was there. If you scrub really hard it also removes the burnt on grease that accumulates around the edges. There is plenty in this jar to clean my BBQ at least 8-10 times.

not worth the effort
I used this product to polish every day stainless utensils and barely noticed a difference vs. out of dishwasher. I also tried this on the brushed stainless handles of my kitchen appliances and the brushed stainless sinks. The result was similar to window cleaner. There was no apparent additional protection and dirt, marks showed up fairly quickly.

Got the job done
There isn't really much to say about this, it does exactly what the description calls for. I had a few antique flatware laying around that I used this product on and it improved the overall cleanliness and appearance. I would say I'm satisfied with this product based on that alone.
