Product Details

Use the 3/8 in. Twin Screw Clamp Connectors (100-Pack) to connect non-metallic sheathed cable to steel outlet boxes. The connectors are designed for indoor use only and fit standard 1/2 in. knockouts. They are made of zinc and are corrosion resistant.
  • Use to connect non-metallic sheathed cable and flexible cord to a steel outlet box or other metal enclosure
  • Use indoors only
  • Body and locknut are die-cast of high-strength zinc alloy
  • Clamp and screws are made of zinc-plated steel

    A:  That is all this type of connector is for. Non-Metallic. The reason for this is the same company makes a very similar product that does MC and Romex.

          A:  MC or BX style (coiled step jacket) requires a different clamp, basically looks the same, but has a jacket retension wall inside the clamp, so as only the wire comes through, and not the steel jacket

            A:  Although the clamp is indeed made of metal, it is designed for clamping non- metallic sheathed wire, it's just the industry way of describing it's things in a quick way. Rather than saying metal clamp for non metallic sheathed wire..... In the same way ( to some degree) a 2x4 in lumber isn't actually 2x4 inches after getting milled. But it's still considered 2x4. Rather than a 1.5 x 3.5

              A:  It is designed for 1 wire. It will hold two 12-2 or 14-2 Romex wire.

                A:  These are only listed for one Romex wire. Anything more will and can pinch the cable and creates a fire hazard.
