The ML5609927 900 Series - 90 CRI LED Light Module is part of the Halo ML56 LED Downlighting System of modular LED Light Modules for use with dedicated 5 in. or 6 in. ML56 LED trims. In the ML56 LED System the trim selection determines the aperture, in either 5 in. or 6 in. The ML56 light modules and LED trims fit 5 in. or 6 in. housings including the Halo LED 5 in. H550 and 6 in. H750 Series for new construction and remodel. And for retrofit of existing housings the ML56 Series fits the Halo 5 in. H5 and 6 in. H7 series, All-Pro 5 in. ET/EI500 and 6 in. ET/EI700 series, and other compatible 5 in. and 6 in. housings. ML56 Light Modules are universal Voltage 120-Volt 277-Volt with integral LED drivers that are dimmable at 120-Volt (switchable at 220-Volt, 230-Volt, 240, and 277-Volt). The ML56 lens provides uniform illumination and wet location listing with reflector and baffle trims. Halo ML56 Series offers high performance LED downlighting in a flexible modular selection. With this traditional look the ML56 trim collection offers a complete vocabulary of 5 in. and 6 in. trims including reflectors and baffles in the popular Halo white, black, secular, haze, satin nickel, and Tuscan bronze finishes, sold separately.

Great looking lighting!
These replaced old style incandescent canned lights angled because of angled ceiling. Love the "color" of the lights. My guy might disagree on installation ease since he was on tall ladder since I have vaulted ceilings.

Expensive but high quality.
First up these are seriously bright. I bought the 900 Lumen because it was lighting a room from the side with 15ft ceilings. I'm probably going to have to put in a dimmer, for most applications the 600 Lumen version would be a better fit. The color is a nice pinkish warm white, CRI seems to be very good although this is the lesser 80 series model which only has a CRI of 80 (See Coopers web site for more details).
Installation was easy, I didn't use the Edison base, just cut the wires and crimped them with an inline sleeve. The ground wire is a nice touch.
My only grumble is the locking mechanism is flimsy and I managed to inadvertently unlock it from the 694WB eyeball trim while installing it. They're also seriously expensive but to their credit HD have the best price on these by far, most other places are charging a lot more.

Replaced our entire house with this bulb and trim in Halo cans less than two years ago. One of the bulbs quit working. I tried to order another bulb but the Home Depot site has them on clearance but not available in my area. Tried to google bulb but find out they are no longer available in California. What is the replacement bulb to order, or do I have to order all new matching trims and bulbs for my entire house?

There's better lighting out there if you want a good...
There's better lighting out there if you want a good LED flood light. This is probably the most accessible spot light -- but, this doesn't come with the reflector to make it a spot. Make sure you buy the reflector kit.

Halo recessed led light
Bought this product because this series work with many trims made by the same manufacturer, including the trims with the narrowest rims I could find on the market. Worked well for me in combination with pico dimmable remote controls. On the negative side, the product is about 30% more expensive than most other brands with integrated trims. Also you cannot purchase all trims that fit the model at home depot

Great light and higher lumens than a standard can retrofit that you pick off the shelf. Dims well. HomeDepot usually has a competitive price for these modules in the 3000K flavor, which is close enough to 2700K for my purposes. However, requires a special series of trims which I usually have to source from another vendor to get good pricing. If you are looking to use these, be sure you add up the cost of the modules and the trims.
