Product Overview

The Halo LT56 combines the energy savings, long life and sustainability of LED in an easy to install retrofit baffle trim kit. Dual-position torsion springs pull the trim tight to ceiling, use in new construction, remodeler and retrofit installation in Halo and other compatible 5 in. and 6 in. recessed housings. The diffuse lens provides shielding to the source and wet location listing, suitable for use in showers or in outdoor covered ceiling applications. Also conforms with NFPA requirements for closet use. Integral driver provides 120-Volt phase cut dimming, an inline connector provides power using a medium base socket adapter provided or connect directly to the mating connector in the LED housings. Ships with a gasket and makes any housing airtight for added energy savings and code compliance.

Light won't stay in the cannister, keeps popping back out. Any suggestions?

Asked by Matt September 7, 2020

Answers

Hey Matt, I'm having the same issue. Mine does not come completely out of the can, but there is almost always an uneven gap between the ceiling and the light bezel. I cut a thin strip of double sided adhesive tape, I used the type that is a spongy material. I ran the double stick tape along the bezel and it seals it against the ceiling. I guess if I ever had to remove the light it might make for some difficulties, but I'm hoping that I won't have to ever do that. Hope this helps!

Can they be used without dimmable switches?

Asked by Dimmable August 15, 2020
1
Answer

Yes. You can't dim if you don't use dimming switch.

Easy retrofit install. LED, DAYLIGHT. No more yellow dimly lit recessed lights that keep burning out. Takes less than 5 minutes to remove old light and trim ring, screw in light socket adapter, snap the wire connector together. And install LED light/trim ring unit.

Very Bright Ceiling Lamps
We were very impressed with the brightness (and the different settings to change the type of light emitted (2000k (yellowish) to 8000k (bright white). Simply choose the level of light you desire for your area. Oh, don't forget to ensure multiple lamps are all installed using the same settings on each lamp, or your place will look like a cheesy '70's hotel room with different colored bulbs in each fixture!!Overall we are very pleased, and if they last 3 years , we'll be extremely pleased. The manufacturer claims 22 years of use before replacement. We'd be ok with changing them every 4 years! Inexpensive enough...Easy installation! 45 minutes to replace 4 ceiling lamps. Nice afternoon enlightening project!!! Ha!

The 6 inch led recessed can light could not be easier to install. And once it’s installed you won’t have to touch this device for years. That’s a huge Convenience with high ceilings or stair wells. You can also feel a little better knowing the light not only puts off minimal heat. But seals the attic environment off from the climate controlled areas. The lights are extremely convenient when home owners ask to replace old lights I don’t even charge anything to replace them if they buy the lights. Win win. Situation.

this is an excellent retrofit downlight with trim. Very easy to install, great color at the 3000K, not yellow and not overly bright. Just a nice pleasant white color. a nice step up from old school floods in the kitchen at 2700k, I have mine on a LED dimmer and the lights work perfectly. they can dim to 10% of the light which is very good. I recommend this anyone replacing kitchen canned lighting. I replaced 11 lights with no problems at all. went from 715-watts incandescent lighting to 88-watts. Big difference in electrical usage.

I have older 6" can lights in my basement and wanted to update them to LEDs without changing out the fixture and at the same time having a smaller light fixture. This unit was easy to install and looked much more up to date my current lighting. The light is bright and it works with the dimmer switch already in place. The other advantage is that the smaller fixture also adds additional insulation from air passing through the older fixture.

Easy to install. Looks great. Keeps air from coming into the house also. Hope they last as long as they say they will. Some of the units didn't have the ground wire. I am sure it is fine since the cans are grounded.

This 4-inch Halo LED light is very easy to install. I’ve attached a picture of everything in the box. You can see that you don’t need much to install these lights. This light is 2700K which is the more traditional yellowish light that would be great in a bedroom or any room you want calming light. If you’re buying replacement lights, be sure to get the correct size.
