2-Way 12-Cup White Programmable Drip Coffeemaker with Single Serve

The instructions are good, but you need to use both hands ie hold down the hour button & the program button at same time. The pot gets hot real quick, but on the single serve side you are limited to size/shape of cup to use. The brew basket is hard to clean once used to remove coffee grounds, and I didn't receive the POD BASKET for the single serve side.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this coffee maker! Very sleek in design and very easy to use. You can brew 2 ways: a single cup or a pot of up to 12 cups. It is programmable, so you can set it to have your coffee ready when you wake up. It also has a 2 hour automatic shutoff. The single cup side Just takes coffee grounds and not pods. Everything is easy to take apart to clean. I love how it looks in my kitchen too. If you’re looking for a multiple function, but easy to use coffee maker, this one is great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try the Hamilton Beach 2-Way Programmable Coffee Maker. After using it for several weeks I was less than excited. This 2-Way Coffee Maker is for those that like to use ground coffee and preferably in the large carafe with time to spare. It's great if you are more environmentally friendly and don't have the desire to use certain plastic pods because this machine doesn't support those. It does has the ability to brew a single cup or a travel mug of coffee with a reusable ground coffee basket. There are pods specifically for this machine but the holder isn't included. It shows it in the directions but not with the item nor pictured on the box. There isn't one large reservoir for the whole machine so you have to fill the mug side separately which can be a hassle. It is allowed to be preprogramed but the drip takes minutes longer than desired. Also when it does stop, it keeps dripping. The drip tray is in 2 pieces and the coffee splatters when hitting the metal plate that is more for looks than function. It does have an automatic shut off which is a plus but the slow stream for a single cup isn't for those rushing out the door! The carafe side works as it should. Has a large basket for multiple cups of ground coffee. It's great for a Sunday brunch or a day at the office. Coffee does stay on for 2 hours to stay warm and then shuts off. The switch from single serve to carafe is easy to use and simply labeled. There is a pause and off function for this machine but I found that it didn't pause right away. It's programmable as well but make sure you hold down the button until the green light to the right is lit, otherwise your machine isn't programmed to your set time correctly. Other observations I made: -The cord stuff storage is not reasonable. The cord doesn't retract and it's so stiff to be spending time shoving it into the little hole. -The plastic overall is sturdy with the lids to the water resevoirs being a litttle thinner and more light weight. I don't mind it and makes it easier for those that may have dexterity issues. -There is a brew option of 'Bold' so that's a nice feature but there isn't an ounces option. That can be frustrating because you could fill your single use resevoir with so many ounces and there is no indicator of what's been brewed. Overall, yes it can make coffee but has extra steps or lack of steps to fill it's full potential.

(Also very durable because the box was almost completely destroyed by the shipping company) and the product is still good and works great. I like having the option of making just a cup to go or a whole pot depending on what I need. It brews a great cup of coffee at the perfect temperature. Very impressed with this coffeemaker.

Its nice but a better review would be better given in a year or 2

The single cup screen is only attached by 2/3 of the cup. 1/3 of the scree has a 1/8 gap so the grinds just pass into the coffee cup. I dont expect to have coffee grind with my morning coffee.

The single serve is extremely messy. It splashes everywhere unless a very tall mug is used that is larger than a single serve. There is also no heating element for the single serve so the coffee gets cold quickly.

We love this drip brewer! Fastest drip-brew coffee maker we've ever owned
