NutriFresh Black and Silver Food Vacuum Sealer with 2-Roll Storage and Starter Kit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I have been wanting a vacuum sealer for an eternity and after some research we only wanted a Hamilton Beach Nutri Fresh Wet and Seal Vacuum Sealer. We are so in love with this sealer. This sealer has it all! We now have multiple bags size options and can pressurize with containers as well. This sealer is so easy to use; just plug it in, cut the bag size, and seal it-that easy! We can also date our bags that way we can know when we froze our meal. The vacuum can vacuum so many items of food not just my pork but also soup and the tuna casserole you may have made too much of. If you are looking for a great sealer that can seal a variety of foods and liquids, containers, and different bag sizes than look no further than Hamilton Beaches Vacuum Sealer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been looking for a better way to avoid wasting in-season bumper crops of fruits and vegetables. I think I have found it. Vacuum sealing keeps them fresher longer. It also shrinks the storage size of the food thereby reducing its overall footprint in the freezer. This allows me to pack much more into my freezer. The NutriFresh Vacuum Sealer makes this a pretty easy process. It gives you the option of vacuum sealing solids and liquids. It comes with two packs of standard sized bags, one roll of narrow custom bags, and one roll of wide custom bags. The sealer comes with a two roll storage cabinet/feeder that fits directly beneath the unit. A cutter is built directly into the cabinet so you can cut the exact sized bag you need. If you have never used such a device the instruction guide can be a little confusing. It does not make clear exactly where you put the opening of the bag to get a good vacuum seal. The product also comes with a vacuum hose that can add to the confusion. This hose is not for sealing the bags. It is used with some kind of accessory that is not included. It also has a date feature that allows you to stamp the date of sealing right on the bag. I like this feature. However, the unit does not do a great job of stamping it clearly. You have to look closely to find it on the bag. All in all this is a practical and useful product. I do recommend it. It has made my life easier when it comes to storing surplus fruits and vegetables.

It’s very easy to use, and it works really well. There are a lot of really nice things about it that I like and some things I don’t love. It came packaged well but there was a dent in the stainless steel on top of the machine. It otherwise looks very nice, and I love the stainless steel and black combo. It comes with two different sized rolls, bags, hoses, and the roll caddy. The roll caddy is extremely nice. I love that it sits under the machine and holds the rolls, plus it has a cutter that works well. This machine has a ton of options on how to use it which is super nice and I love that you can seal liquids. When you’re preparing your bags, you have to allow 3 extra inches per bag. This seems like a lot of waste to me. I seal a lot of small things and 3 extra inches is a lot. You have to have 3 inches for it to all fit in the machine and clamp down, there’s no way around it. The machine clamps down easy. The date code option seemed like such a great idea to me, I was super excited about this feature but it doesn’t line up very well and it’s really hard to see on the finished bag. The reason for the 3 extra inches is for that date code and it’s not even super functional. As far as sealing goes, it works perfectly. This machine has a bar showing you the progress with a light. I like that it shows you along the way. But this machine is very slow on every step. I was very surprised with how long it takes just to do one bag. But the bags stay sealed! It’s very easy to seal both dry and wet items with this machine and they make it very easy with dedicated buttons for each. All in all, this vacuum sealer is okay. This vacuum sealer works well, it’s easy to use, it does wet and dry food and the seal stays sealed. It is slow and uses a lot of extra plastic, but would be just fine for casual sealing. Therefore, I would recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to try this and had high hopes that were easily let down. This is a sealer but isn't a vacuum sealer unless you buy additional accessories that aren't included. Pros are that sealing did become easier after trial and error. The inch markers on the premade and to be made bags were helpful. We found that 7 inches worked best for chicken patties and premade hamburgers. It's helpful to have the black cutter to the right before cutting. Bags can be stored on the bottom. I found that feature to be okay because it can be a bit bulky on the counter. Speaking of counter, I wish the cord was longer and centered. It sits to the left on the back of the unit. The sealer does have a helpful lock lever to the front right side but you have to figure out where the best part is to rest your fingers while holding onto the bag while sealing. There is a built in date coder which is helpful but wish it were larger and had the ability to include the year. It's best to stick with a Sharpie to label. There are some safety features which are nice as in the light up display to let you know the status of when the seal is ready which took 9 to 10 seconds. There are 2 beeps that let you know it's ready to open. Overall yes, it does seal but doesn't vaccum seal unless you buy additional pieces.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the design you have the bags easily stored underneath. I made my own bag and it was fairly easy to do, I made the first bag too small so I had to redo it. There is a date code dial which is convenient but as you can tell in the photo it is very hard to see, I ended up just writing it on the bag with a marker so I can see it easily in the freezer. It took 2 people to put the bag with the meat in it on the sealer, I am sure I could get better at it with more practice but it kept slipping out of place on my own. It would be helpful if there was a slide out tray to place the meat on. The other option is to take it off of the storage tray so that the meat is closer to the counter. I am happy with the results, it was very fast and got the air out.

I enjoy the versatility of the product, but the performance of endurance left a lot to be desired. The product stopped sealing after only 15 months of use. Thank you for the 5 year warranty that allowed for a replacement expeditiously even though I had to send in proof of warranty still in effect.

Only giving 4 stars as I haven't used it yet; just trying to get it registered. I do like how it's compact and has the storage for rolls below it. Got as a gift and like that it has a date feature.
