I love this light. It really brightens up my room. I chose it because it works with a Wink Hub. I did not know that it had to be the Wink 2 hub. Also didn't know that I didn't have a box under my old light for the wires to fit in. We used the rim from my old light to put between the SmartPuff and the ceiling. It looks great! Even though I can'tcontrol it with my smart phone I still recommend it, I love the brightness. I've had this light about 4 months now and would purchase it again. I may even update my Wink Hub.

Awesome product for my application!! I came across this looking for a solution for a closet under the stairs. I had previously used battery operated LED strips with a remote switch and was never satisfied with the light output nor the battery life. I purchased a Wink Hub 2 for several other Lutron and Leviton devices and when I found this thought it would be perfect for this closet. I had to wire power into this closet anyway in order to plug in a charger for a Dyson vacuum, so it was a good opportunity to add this. It worked as expected and I was able to link it to my Amazon Echo via the Wink Hub 2 for voice control.
Then I took it a step farther. Since I didn't wire a switch in, the control was either with the app or with the Amazon Echo. I found the GoControl door sensors that are sold as part of a kit for an alarm system, but since they pair directly to the Wink Hub 2, using the Wink App robots, I was able to add a sensor switch onto the door, then setup the robot so that the light will automatically turn on or off with the door opening or closing! Far superior method than having to hardwire in a mortise door jamb switch for this type of functionallity.
I also set up the robots so that after 10 PM, if the door is opened, the light only comes on at 50% brightness so you aren't blinded in the middle of the night if you need to open the door.
One thing to note is that while you can buy the door sensor individually, it is more economical to buy it in the GoControl premium kit that contains 3 door/window sensors, a motion detector, and a 105db siren.
I did have a bit of an issue with the color temperature control. It wasn't showing up in the Wink app as indicated in the instructions. However, one I paired it up with the door sensor, I was able to access the color temp. Dimming worked fine either way which was really more important for me anyway.

Wink Light Works Great
The light fixture seems to be well made and is light in weight since the frosted plastic cover is made of plastic. The light was very easy to install and to connect with my Wink hub. Using the app the light can be dimmed and and the color temperture can be adjusted; by default the light is warm white. This light is much brighter in my kitchen than the single bulb 60 Watt fixtute I replaced.

Crazy, but you need to pay a monthly fee to turn on/off your lamp!
I returned the very cheap, voice activated, color changing and modern looking lamps, as soon as I realized that you need to pay a company to remotely control this light.
MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED!!

Worst Light - Have to buy Hub to control and pay for the app
Incredibly frustrating! May as well flush your money down the toilet if you think about buying this light. You cannot control this light without buying a HuB. That was not clear on the packaging. The wall switch works, but you cannot change the LED warmth without buying a Hub. You also have to pay $4.99 per month for a subscription to their app to even add a light. When we forst bought the light AND the App, yhe app was down for at least three days The clerk at Home Depot told us you can control the LED lumens by a switch in the fixture. That is not the case. A total waste of money to buy this light, which is NOT very bright at all. Plus, we paid an electrician to install.

Home Depot is selling this light in its clearance end cap knowing the light doesnt work is it does not enter pairing mode.
I purchased this light on 1/25/21 at Jantzen Beach Home Depot in the clearance section. It advertises on the box that its a “Zigbee” smart home device and that its compatible with the Wink Hub. As anyone who is familiar with smart lightingt the two platforms are z-wave and Ziigbee, I do own and use a Wink Hub so this was a non-issue. However, there is an issue in getting the light into pairing mode. Calling Hampton Bay’s tech support was not useful and was simply told the light has been discontinued. I now have a kithcen light fixture which has been removed and one which doent work. The tech who I spoke with told me that there are known problems with this light and is why it has been discontinued. He blamed Wink. However, ragardless of any Wink issue, it can be paired as a generic light with a Zigbee hub. The issue with the light is that it wont go into pairing mode. I enjoy shopping in the clearance end caps and this is the first time that Home Depot has sold an item it knows is defective and now I am left with the headache of having to return the light and rewire in my old fixture.

Need to pay extra subscription for Wink app to control light temperature
Flimsy frame and cover.
Worst part is that paid subscriptin for Wink app is required to control the light temperature and other features.
