What is the screen for
Thanks for your question. That is a spark screen and is intended to use the first time you light your fire pit. Lava rock will sometime spark during the first use, and the screen will prevent sparks from hitting you. After that first lighting, you can dispose of the screen.
Can you put glass crystal beads in fire pit
Thanks for your question. Yes, glass beads and rocks can be used, but make sure they are the type that are glass "fire" rocks or beads, made specifically for fire pits and "fire proof." A large selection can be found on HomeDepot.com.
What is the true size of the fire display area? Another questions said it was 19" x 19" but that would only leave 5" on each side of the table and the pictures don't represent that. The unit is on a shelf at the store making it unable to be seen.
It’s about 5”, the 19”x19” fire area is correct.

Can you convert this to a natural gas connection?
Thanks for your question. No, this fire pit cannot be converted to natural gas.
The fire pit turns off unless knob held down. I cleared area near pilot/burner and tried to clean the thermocouple to no avail. Burner and pilot housing with some rust corrosion. Can’t find a site to order replacement parts and don’t want to call on phone
