A:  Thank you for your question. No, this fan is designed for indoor use only. For installation in an outdoor patio area, you would need a damp rated fan.

    A:  We had similar issue. Turned out next door neighbor has same code on her fan so when she turns on hers mine also went on.

      A:  We are sorry to hear that you are having this issue. The light does not have a motion sensor. It sounds like the remote is receiving an interfering signal from another device in the area. This can be easily resolved by changing the dip switch settings in the remote and receiver. The dip switches are located in the battery compartment of the remote and on the receiver. The dip switches can be set to any unique setting as long as the settings in the remote and receiver match. Changing the dip switch settings will change the frequency of the remote to avoid the interfering signal. This is covered in detail in the complete installation video located with the alternate images on the product page online (fast forward to the 8:01 mark). If the issue persists, please call Hampton Bay customer service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678) and one of the team members will be able to get more information to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

        A:  It does not. The remote control all fan and the light settings. You can sync with Google Home if you want to add some smart home features.

          A:  Thank you for your question. Technically, yes, one remote can control 2 fans if the dip switches are set to the same settings in the remote and on both receivers. We do not recommend using one remote to control multiple fans was it can lead cooperation issues if the fans get out of sync. For example, if one fan receives the remote signal and the other does not, the fans will be out of sync and there is not way to reset the fans to the same settings without disconnecting power to the fans. For optimal operation, each remote and receiver pair should be set to a unique dip switch setting so that each remote only controls the intended fan.

              HAMPTON BAY FANELEE 54" CEILING FAN
              This is a great looking ceiling fan, love the six different light color options along with the ability to The Hubspace App. Very easy to install but I put too much time into setting up for its installation... 14-3 is not required to run the fan and light with dimming options as well as slow fan speed options. Did all my prep work before purchasing just to find out when opening the box that it uses traditional household wiring utilizing the hot and common and everything else is ran off of a module. So, it appears I have an extra red wire in case the next homeowner wants to wire for a more traditional ceiling fan.

                It does not work as though,
                It was easily to install it, but don’t work as I though .not air at all . I got it today but I will return it ASAP , not happy at all

The reverse switch is located under the motor collar cover.                   Spotlight: Dining Room Is Dark
                  The light is a downward spotlight. It leaves the corners of the room dark. The room looks like a dim restaurant. My wife hates it. Besides that: Fan looks really sleek & minimalistic. Fan moves the air & it's quiet. Hubspace was easy to figure out & Alexa integration is seamless. Ceiling installation was simple. Verdict: the "decorative shade" light diffuser ruins what would be an otherwise great product. Mama is not happy, so fan is probably going back to the store.

                    Poor Quality Control
                    I wasted an hour of my life installing this fan to only notice the 5 deep gouges in the metal motor directly under the fan blades AFTER I completed the install. Deep, sharp chunks in the metal. How did this pass quality control? The box is fine, no damage, so this is how it left the factory. I got to waste my time buying it, installing it, to now get to uninstall it, and return it. What a complete waste of time!

                      Money Well Spent
                      Over the years I've become very savvy with the purchases I make. This ceiling was no exception. Its extremely quiet and most importantly, it can be controlled via my Google Home because of it's wifi capability. I purchased two - one for my living room and one for my bedroom. Money well spent.

                      Awesome contemporary style fan
                      This fan is beautiful and matches the contemporary style of gray decor. I love the ability to control the fan from the app on my phone as well as the light brightness and colors! The light is very bright and it'll match any brightness of LED lights in your home (2700-5000k). If you're looking for a fan that'll light up a whole room, this might not be the fan for you. But it goes along perfectly with recessed lighting. If you like a light switched fan, don't get this one. Turning power off from the switch will erase the memory. I just wish it came in flush mount.

                        lighting sucks
                        not good for 8 ft ceilings, there's over a ft of dead space the light as said in another review is like a spot light

                          Not happy with the speed
                          I bought 2 of these in Feb'22 from Home Depot, These Fan look great with multi color lighting option however even at high speed, they hardly rotates at full speed and am rating it one because fans are supposed to give us much needed fresh air and relief from humidity but they are hopeless and am disappointed with the purchase. One of the remote didn't had the holder in the box.

On high speed, the fan generate an air movement of just over 6,000 CFM which is on the higher side for fans in this category and should rotate around 160 RPM. Please make sure that the fan is operating in the proper direction to create a downward airflow. The reverse switch is located under the motor collar cover on the top of the fan.                             Lighting and remote are real breakers
                            This fan is gorgeous, quiet, the light warmth options are great and I like the app feature. It does have some significant downsides. My biggest complaint is that the light seems more like a spotlight. At night, the corners of our bedroom are very dark while middle of the room is well lit. My husbands biggest complaint is that you can only turn the fan/light on by the remote-not a wall switch. The wall mount for the remote is very wobbly. It’s not ideal and I unfortunately cant recommend the fan
