A: Not sure. But What I did was drilled holes for drawer pulls and knobs, which worked out great.

A: There are no openings or recess for hand holds around any edge of the cabinet so you will need hardware.

A: Sorry for the delay. If you haven't received an answer yet, the manufacturer specifications are 15lbs/sqft. which relates to approx. 40lbs per drawer for the KDB18.
A: The drawers and mechanisms get tested to ensure they can operate with loading during everyday use. They are loaded at 15 pounds per square foot and then go through 25,000 cycles. They must operate without failure in any part of the drawer assembly or operating system. The drawer bottoms cannot be stressed to interfere with drawer operation.
