This Hampton Bay Hartney 60 in. Indoor/Outdoor Midnight Black Ceiling Fan Powered by Hubspace sure moves a lot of air! Installed it in a covered outdoor entertaining area and we are very happy with its performance! It would be nice if it had a light but I would not trade the light for this fans quiet powerful performance and sleek stylish looks. Highly recommend

This fan is sleek, powerful, and super quiet. It really delivers impressive airflow compared to a fan with more blades and it’s very modern in style. I’m only giving it 4 stars because the instructions and hardware weren’t labeled, making installation more confusing than it should be, for me. Once I had it installed, though, it runs so smoothly and looks great! I love it!

Wow….just wow!!! This fan is huge and the power or I should say airflow is amazing!! Three blade fans seem to move so much more air than four or five blade ones. Maybe it just seems that way. It’s super quiet, can’t even hear it running. But get a blanket if you are sitting under it. It moves some air. Out of the box was pretty straight forward. Installation was easy if you are just replacing. Make sure your outlet box is fan rated. Instructions are clear. Remote function is nice. Highly recommend for your next fan upgrade.

Wanted this for my new pergola because New Mexico summers can be stifling, even in the cool of the evening. My pergola ceiling isn't quite as high as I had thought when I ordered this. And later, I will be able to raise it another 4 or 5 inches, so all is not lost. The design, however, isn't perfect for low-clearnace locations like mine. I might fix that later on, too.

I am reviewing the Hartney 60 in. Indoor/Covered Outdoor Midnight Black Ceiling Fan with Dark Walnut Blades First thought when my Wife and I opened the box was the same “Very attractive and unique fan blades”. The look and feel of the blades are fantastic, the design is excellent. This fan does not come with an attached light which is exactly what we wanted. We also needed a fan that could handle the outside humidity and temperature changes, after installing this fan I am convinced of this fans durability. We have installed this fan in our 1500 sq ft barn style detached garage. The air flow is very good and the blade speed options are a nice touch. This Hartney fan has 6 speeds with a reverse for winter weather. As I mentioned earlier, it has 3 blades with a DC motor. There is a 6 in. down rod included that worked perfect for us. The design of assembly of the blades and the sleek look for below is amazing - I am a big fan of out new light. Being damp rated the fan will be well suited in our garage, it can also be placed in a barroom or an outdoors. There is a WIFI connection option but we did not set up that feature - don’t see a need in the garage/work area. Assembly was actually pretty easy - took just over 2 hours start to finish, but I have installed a few dozen ceiling fans in my day. The design, look and operation of this ceiling fan deserves a top rating of 5 - well the downside of this fan is where a lot of products stumble on. They did not pay very close attention to the installation instructions. There were a couple of misstated sentences, like telling us to install the “screws” when there was only 1 screw to install. The discussion on the down rod and the covers was pretty weak and missed some detail that belonged there. The screw bags were NOT marked and the drawings for the parts were NOT actual size - this just makes things a little more difficult to find the correct part or screw. The two canopies were draw with the side view instead of slightly less direct to give the look a 3-D look, plus there were not drawn or stated by size, made things a bit confusing. Before retiring I spent my last 12 years working in and managing documentation, testing and implementation teams in the software field, so this is close to my heart and is the most overlooked areas of most products. I would easily recommend this fan for any indoor or outdoor application.

I got the Hartney 60” matte white ceiling fan and I really like it. It looks clean and modern, and the 60-inch size moves a ton of air, which is perfect for Florida heat. The Hubspace controls make it super easy to change speeds or reverse the fan right from my phone. It doesn’t come with a light, but as a fan alone it works great and feels solid indoors or outdoors.

We opted to install this beautiful fan on our back porch. It is a handsome, classy looking fan that would match almost any style. The blades are It has a convenient remote with 6 speeds. It is reversible for winter or summer. It can be connected to Wi-Fi via the Hubspace app. Connection to the app was fast and easy. Installation was fairly straight forward and took less than 30 minutes. I love the sleek modern look of the blades. It's a beautiful addition to our porch.

The installation instructions are well written and easy to follow. The fan itself is made from quality materials so you don't have to worry about it outside in your Man Cave. The fan does move a lot of air! The fan is big and is modern looking design. The blades look like wind turbine blades. The fan looks durable and the plastic blades will work well in an outdoor environment. The design is a little different than other fans I’ve installed but the assembly is straightforward following the instructions. I do wish I would have gotten a fan with a light.

You get a modern-looking fan with a few minor flaws. The device itself is well packaged. Everything you need is included in the box. The DC motor is small but powerful. The three blades are made of ABS, which makes the device lightweight overall. Assembly is easy if you follow the instructions. I like that an extra extension is included if, for example, you want to use a longer down rod. I do have some doubts that the lower covers will stay in place for very long. To my mind, they click into the sockets a little too loosely. The device comes with a remote control and can also be controlled remotely when connected to a Hubspace-enabled SmartHome or using the app.

Lovely ceiling fan with a modern aesthetic, especially with the matte black color that I have. The ceiling fan is very quiet and has 6 speeds on the wall mountable remote control. There are also three different timers and summer and winter options for the direction of the fan’s airflow. All of which allows you to better modify the fan’s airflow for the comfort that you prefer. The fan doesn’t come with a light kit, and there doesn’t appear to be one available to fit this fan. That would have been a great option. Installation was a breeze and took about 45 minutes for me to install.
