Does anyone else deal with your fan turning on randomly? I bought two fans one for my living room and one for my bedroom and they both turn on at the same time randomly every once in a while.

We are sorry to hear that you are having this issue. It sounds like your remotes are receiving an interfering signal from another device in the area. This can be easily resolved by changing the frequency of the remotes to avoid the interfering signal. To change the frequency of the remote, start with power to the fan off at the breaker box or wall switch. Then, turn the power on at the breaker box or wall switch and within 30 seconds, press and release the "learn" button in the battery compartment of the remote. Once the remote is paired with the fan, the light will blink and the fan will start to spin. repeat the process for the second fan. Make sure that power to the other fan is off when doing the pairing process so that both fans do not pair to one remote. If this does not resolve the issue, please call Hampton Bay customer service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678) and one of the team members will be able to get more information to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

    Thank you for your question. Yes, the reverse button is on the remote control. The Hubspace app allows control for fan speed, light control (on/off/dimming/color temperature), scheduling, and timers not reverse the fan.

        Thank you for your question. 72" If you wish to use a longer downrod, attach the 3-pin extension wire(J) and 3-pin extension wire (K) to the fan by connecting the molded adaptor plugs from the extension wires to the 3-pin and 3-pin adaptor plugs from the fan. Seen on page eight of the installation guide.

              How do you install a 3in downrod to this fan?

              Thank you for your question. Disassemble the hanger ball: Remove the set screw from the hanger ball and slide the hanger ball down the existing downrod. Then, remove the pin and keep all parts. Place hanger ball on new downrod: Place the hanger ball onto your new 3-inch downrod. Insert the pin: Insert the pin through the holes at the top of the new downrod. Slide and lock: Slide the hanger ball up the new downrod until the pin locks into the slots of the hanger ball. Re-install set screw: Re-install the set screw (MM) and tighten it securely against the downrod. Ensure that the downrod and the setscrew are completely tightened to prevent wobble and damage to the fan.

                  Constantly Disconnects - not smart at all!
                  I will start by saying that if it worked consistently, I would have no complaints. I purchased two of this model at different times- one for my office and one for our bedroom. Both fans disconnect and are inoperable - both from the remote and Hubspace, so I have to turn the wall switch off for several seconds and then back on. This defeats the whole purpose of having smart fans that can be controlled from anywhere, and is actually worse because I can’t turn them on at all, even from the remote, without resetting them. It happens so frequently - many times multiple times a day - and happens regardless of whether the fan is off or on. So frustrating and a waste of money. I will be changing them out. I have another Hubspace fan from a different manufacturer and haven't had any issues with it. Not sure if it is the brand or just this model that is problematic, but I have many Hubspace devices and most are fairly reliable, so I don’t think it is a Hubspace issue. Given that the remove doesn’t work either, I believe it is an issue with the receiver itself.

                    I spent more than planned for a ceiling fan, but this was totally worth it. Easy to assemble and install. Great features and easily connected to Alexa. Smooth and quiet! Will be upgrading other fans with this model. NOTE: extension rod sole separately.

                    On October 11th, I purchased two ceiling fans. The installation was easy, the lighting was good, and the fans worked great. Everything seemed perfect until today — both fans lost their internet connection and constantly show as “offline.” They both stopped working. We even moved the modem as close to the room as possible to try to reconnect them, but nothing worked. There’s simply no solution. It’s been a complete waste of money!

                      Love the 6 speeds. I like everything about this fan. I have had the fan for a month. Blends in with the white ceilings, gray walls and white baseboards. Although it's LED wirh different settings, the light projects as if it's a regular bright bulb. Exceeds our expectations.

                      Ok when it works
                      So far I’m on my 4th one and still having the same problem. The dam thing will just stop working whenever it feels like and the only way to get it going again is to go to the basement and turn off the breaker real quick and then beat the clock begins. I have to run across the basement up the stairs and to the garage and re-bind the remote to the fan, all in 20 seconds. I’ve exchanged and replaced the whole thing 4 times now and each one has the same problem. I’ve called customer service as well and boy, I think they hire nothing but totally incompetent and rude people. So yeah I think I’ve about had this crappy box fan. I’m ready to just rip and out throw it garbage at this point. So distracted with the whole experience. Hopefully you have better luck than I did.

                        Had fan for a little bit. Like all the other reviews, I should of read them before purchasing. Fan works great..when it wants to.. has a mind of it's own can't decide if it wants winter or summer mode continuously. Just randomly shuts off then have to let it sit with the light switch off for a long while to let it reset then turn it back on and hope it works. . I went ahead and took it down and reboxed up and going to return it. I bought the Hampton Bynum and it works great!

                          This was working for the first couple of weeks. Very happy. Lost internet connection one day and never could get it to work. It stops by itself. It starts by itself. No way to change frequencies. No way to work it without remote. No way I will buy this brand again. I replaced it with a no remote fan and am much happier. It is currently waiting to dump in the garbage and recycling center. My mistake was not reading reviews before buying.
