versatile, neutral styling

The lamp is effective in lighting the guest room with a medium-intensity glow. I put it in front of a mirror to increase its brightness. The maximum bulb it can handle is 60 watts, which is adequate for a small bedroom or reading nook if it’s the only light source. The plain style of the base and the unfussy, vertical lamp shade make it a versatile, neutral piece. That being said, the lamp base is more of a light cream than pure white; and the fake wood on the bottom of the base looks very fake up close. The fake wood repeats on the neck under the bulb and as a ball-shaped finial on top to secure the shade. The fake wood/resin is an ashy tan color that doesn’t quite go with any of the natural wood stains in my house. Because of that, I would not be tempted to buy another one of these lamps, but it is fine for the guest room. The lamp and shade were well-packaged and easy to assemble.

Beautiful and Classic Lamp

I really like this lamp. We are using it on our bedroom dresser and it provides a warmth and enough-but-not-glaring illumination (obviously the bulb plays a huge part here but the shade is just the right amount of opacity, and the base has a reflective finish). The lamp has a good heft, and I am not concerned about it tipping over easily if bumped. The "wood" finish on the very bottom and the top knob complement the cream base. Two things that I encountered though, are 1. It is difficult to level the shade. I used a level and had to manhandle the frame a bit to get the shade level. 2. The shade is white-Pure white, which means it can read cool, almost blue, whereas the base is a warm cream. I think the shade could have had touch of warmth in it to complement the base better. It's in no way a deal breaker or anything-just something I notice when I'm scrutinizing. I'm going to recover the lampshade so this will become a total non-issue. It was always my plan to recover, though, NOT because of the pure white. Anyway, excellent lamp!

Great Table light

The Hampton Bay it would light upp a nice size area.Saddlebrook 21.5 inch cream ceramic is a great table lamp. It would fit any where in a home. It blends well with all wall colors and does not stand out. A pair of these ;amps would fit well on tables in any room of your home. Depending which LED light you use. I use them as a bed lamp on our night stands and they are great.

Should have purchased two!

Absolutely love this table lamp! this is a simple but elegant lamp. It come complete except for the bulb. This lamp should go with any decor, It is not a small lamp, nor is it a tall lamp, perfect for the bedside or that table in the family room. It produces a good amount of light. It doesn't have a three-way switch just a simple on and off. It also works fantastic with colored bulbs.

beautiful lamp with a non-descript shade

Love the base. I recommend this lamp for the shape, color, and style of the base. It is a very nice medium-sized lamp that can work in most any room. It will be easy to dust and clean. The materials and quality feel like it will last a very long time. The drum shaped shade is not a high-end decorator’s lampshade. I like the simple round finial that matches the base accent color. The harp that is included is on the small/short side. This lamp can support a larger lampshade but would simply need a taller/larger harp. I like the flexible style of this lamp base. Stylish lamp that will fit with most decor.

This is beautiful stylish yet understated lamp that would fit any decor. The diameter of this lamp is 6". The overall height (from the base to top of the shade) is 21" high. The shade is 9.5" high and 11" in diameter. The linen look fabric of the shade is white as is the ceramic body of the lamp which sits on a faux wood base. The lamp takes a maximum 60 watt bulb or LED equivalent. With the 60 watt bulb this lamp works well as an accent or bedside lamp, but for an end table lamp I don't feel the 60 watts is bright enough. I haven't tried an LED bulb, but since they're brighter than incandescent that make get this lamp to work as an end table lamp, in my opinion. The lamp comes with a 3 year limited warranty.

Very Nice and Classic Lamp

The Hampton Bay Saddlebrook 21.5 inch Cream Ceramic and Faux wood table lamp fit perfectly with my decor. Perfect size for my end table in my bedroom. I love the farmhouse modern feel. The shade is drum shaped and a nice linen. The white base is smooth and pairs perfectly with the white base. Gives off a warm white glow. Highly recommend for your home decor.

An attractive and functional table lamp

This is a fine table lamp for a bedside table, for a dresser as in the photos, or for an end table for reading. The plain white base and shade will go with any décor. The height is 21” to the top of the shade. The shade is 11” diameter. The lamp has a 62” cord. Assembling the lamp is easy: 1) screw the bulb fixture onto the threaded tube, 2) put the harp into the slots on the fixture, 3) put the shade onto the harp and screw on the finial — you’re done. This is an attractive and functional table lamp.

Really attractive!

The Hampton Bay ‘Saddlebrook’ 21.5 in. Cream Ceramic and Faux Wood Table Lamp with White Fabric Shade! What a pleasant surprise! What a beautiful lamp! I mean that. This lamp exceeded my expectations. Both in the build and quality but in the aesthetics. The colors are perfectly matched with a soft, almost antique, gloss white, perched on a subtle, muted green base. The shade is a perfect match in both color as well as size. The linen shade is a nice, strong construct with no creases. The seam on the shade is almost imperceptible. I have to say the box this lamp came in is so well packed that the shade survived in absolute pristine condition, and the lamp itself was in perfect order. Bravo on that! The lamp harp is finished with a heavy, solid faux wood finial that compliments the look as well as the quality of the entire lamp. The on/off switch is standard rotary (on the bulb base-not the cord) with only the on/off selection and is NOT compatible for a 3-way bulb. What an outstanding product! Beautiful in any décor, and this would make a perfect housewarming gift! 5*’s and more!

Simple. Stylish

My wife loved this this lamp. It's going in our redecorated bedroom. It will go perfectly with the neutral and light colors we have selected. The lamp is a nice size for a table. You could use it on a nightstand or even as the centerpiece on a medium to larger size table. It has a very simple but elegant shade. The quality is there. Plus it looks really good. I would recommend.
