A: Thank you for your question. The light can be adjusted on the pole to be next to the flag to ensure the flag is illuminated. We would not recommend installing the light 15ft away from the flag.

A: You can mount it on the provided spike so that it is off the pole altogether. Even if you mount it to the pole, you should be able mount it below the rope rigging. The mount might not even interfere depending upon your rope and rigging.
A: Thank you for your question. This flag light is designed to stay attached to a pole. This flag light is designed mainly for use with 5-6ft flag poles.
A: If you intend to lower your flag on a daily basis, then in reality a flag light would just be completely unnecessary for you. Flag lights are used for people who fly their flags 24/7/365… It ensures you are following proper flag protocol, which includes illuminating your flag at night. To answer your specific question, this would absolutely hinder raising and lowering of your flag.
A: Thank you for your question. The panel is designed for use in outdoor locations. It should not be installed in any areas that receive strong exposure to water such as next to a strong sprinkler or in an area where water pours off of the roof.
A: I didn't do anything to "preserve it," and it's worked just fine through plenty of rain and cold weather, affixed to the flag pole. It's definitely durable in my opinion. Also, my assumption is the manufacturer is using the term "weather resistant" for legal reasons, so they aren't 100% guaranteeing that it would survive in all weather conditions regardless of how extreme.
A: I mounted it on my flag pole and only put it out on flag holidays. However this was a very poor design and had plastic parts which secured the solar panel and light in place for focusing which broke within 6 months.
