Deck mounting hardware?

Deck mounting hardware?
Asked by: billybob
There are predrilled holes on the base of the legs and it does some with soft anchors. If you want to install on deck or concrete patio you would need to purchase the proper anchor.

No. No. No. It was a monster pain in the you know what to put on. To remove the canvas for inclement weather you literally have to remove the legs and lower the whole gazebo to the ground. Nothing easy with this gazebo.

The gazebo top is weather resistant, not water proof.

I recommend 4 people because its a little unstable as you begin to put it together and you assemble the top half first then have to lift it up on to the legs. For the price its not bad so far, I am concerned a little about how much wind it can withstand and stay in one piece. It has survived wind gusts up to 25 mph so far since I assembled it (I attached the gazebo to my deck with 8 #10 2-1/2 wood screws and 7 mm washers). I probably will take the canopy off when thunderstorms are anticipated and secure the frame to make sure it stays together.

The aluminum frame literally snapped in 5 places. Don't waste your time or money with this unless you live somewhere with no wind, rain, or snow- which is nowhere!

While setting it up i noticed that it seemed like it was made very weak and "cheap"; small misaligned tack welds, curtain rails that are separate from the framework, which weakens both. The curtain rings are plastic and would appear that they are "break-away" but they most definitely do not, mostly due to the curtain having very poorly stitched loops that who's stitching will break away. The attachment points use screws with an affixed piece of plastic which allow you to use you fingers and not a wrench or ratchet, kinda nice an convenient. However, the sockets/nuts that they screw into are mounted poorly and no matter how well or tight you draw them together when mounting the pieces they still have a good amount of play, you can wiggle them (if that makes sense). The feet are just as weak and a coulee of tack weld welds hold them on. I should have stopped putting it up when I noticed these things but i thought i would give it a chance; I knew it wouldn't be pillar of structural engineering but for $400 I hoped for more. If you have no kids, pets, bugs and especially no wind, and a platform to mount it to and just want something to sit under then this may work. Spend a little more and get something better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t waste your money!! This product is not durable at all! We didnt even have it for two weeks, and it is destroyed. One light wind came up and completely ruined it. The stakes do not hold it down. We completely wasted $400. I’m disappointed that someone would try to sell something that is so poorly engineered

We had up literally 1 day before the wind apparently bent the metal bars completely ruining the metal structure and then creating pools of water from a light rain which completely ruined the fabric. ONE DAY and over $400 down the drain. I truly can not put into words how incredibly disappointing this purchase was.

I purchased this solely off the photos on the website as the store did not have one on display. I feel that was a mistake on my part. Unlike some that thought this was an easy assemble...I did not. For starters the knob screws that are used for assembly are terrible. I had five in which the plastic knob fell off the phillips head of the screw and had to be fitted with a washer to secure. The frame is additionally not very sturdy and was very wobbly during assembly. I will be surprised how this holds up with inclement weather. The concept of assembly and then putting the base legs on is ridiculous. You basically need four people available to accomplish this task to avoid twisting the frame when raising. I live in Ohio and keep the gazebo on my back deck spring through fall. As complicated and busy as this frame is I am not sure how I want to disassemble in the fall. My biggest complaint with this gazebo is the canvas. After all the work to assemble the frame and then to manhandle the canvas onto all the holding points I realized a couple large stains on the canvas that are very pronounced when the sun shines on it and the stitching for the brown skirt is literally falling apart. Photos are attached and I will be contacting the company on these issues. Depending on the response from Home Depot on my issues will determine if a take it down and return it.

No tools needed. It has a few buttons for smaller pieces and welded nuts with thumb screws for the rest of it. We have only had it for a couple of weeks but it is fairly sturdy. It even went through a pretty good storm already and weathered it quite well with the corners staked down . As tight as what the top fits and at a pretty good angle the rain just runs off with no pooling. The high top is great as it gives the room a nice big feeling. We have a gas fire-pit and with the high top the top vent expels all the fumes but not all the heat. So far we are loving it.
