Q:I installed Hampton Bay Wired LED Push Button (Nickel Finish) mdl HB-556-90 with Hampton Bay Transformer (Mdl HB-125-90) and Hampton Bay Wired Doorbell (Mdl HB-2748-03). Power on, got buzz/hum in Doorbell. Button light on. Moments later no light no sound.

I bought this doorbell to replace my old rusted looking one. It has a nice bright light and looks...
I bought this doorbell to replace my old rusted looking one. It has a nice bright light and looks more modern. Installation was easy and quick. The only thing I would change are the screws which are a bit smaller than the rusty ones in the old unit. This kit is universal but the screws could have been one size longer, although they still work. Looks great, well made and I highly recommend.

Worked once I added a diaode across the power
I had to add a diaode across the power to get it to work with the full ding ding ding - something to do with my doorbell assembly I suspect. . Works great now

Light stopped working
I bought two at the same time less than 6 months ago. One for my front door & one form my side. The light has stopped working in one.
It has maybe been pushed 8 times since we are in a pandemic & no one has visited!

This product was easy to install and performed very well. It replaced the door bell which had been in the house for 44 years with no issues concerning compatibility.

I purchased this doorbell because it closely resembles the one I was replacing and the price was reasonable. I installed it myself and found it to be easy to do. I was not prepared for how bright that tiny light is but I like it! I would recommend this doorbell and I would purchase another if I needed one.
