Hello Matt, I'm not sure what the intended purpose is in using 24 volts, just to be as blunt as possible without being rude, I wouldn't use it for a 24 volt system, I don't recommend it. If we can be of further help don't hesitate to contact us. Good luck with your endeavor.

My client had a wireless button and chime. The batteries in the bell does deplete quickly and there’s nothing to do. Also there is no way to add a wired button to a wireless chime. You need to replace the wireless chime and button with a wired button and chime which also requires installing a transformer that gets hard wired into the electrical panel. If you are a skilled in electrical issues then it’s easy but if you aren’t the please call a licensed electrician.

If you are certain the transformer is ok, be sure 1 wire goes strait to the door bell chime and the other wire is attached to the transformer. See my photos per reviews as well.

Usually, doorbells operate off a step-down transformer that reduces the house voltage down to 24 volts AC. In that case, it is recommended - but not totally necessary - to kill the power (see below). ----- BUT----- While these switches are intended to be used at 24VAC, it is possible the doorbell runs off household 120VAC. That is very different. (The little light bulb would likely blow out, but it is you, not the light bulb, I am concerned about) If the switch is being used at household 120 VAC, you must kill the power to the doorbell circuit. You do not have to kill power to the whole house, just that one circuit is fine. If you can identify the circuit breaker or fuse that "feeds" the circuit, by turning off the breakers one at a time until the circuit goes dead, just opening that one breaker or removing the fuse is sufficient. JUST BE CAREFUL. BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY. If you are still in doubt, pay someone. It is money well spent if it keeps you from getting a shock.

Are you sure this started after replacing both switches or was it like that before you changed them? The reason I ask is some systems are wired to have 2 different chimes. 1 for the front door & a different one for the back. Changing both switches wouldn't change that.

Adds a bit of class to any entrance.
I really like this product because you can feel the quality once it’s in your hands after opening the package. It displays a strong light during the day and in the evening and it has the style to attract anyone at the front door. For the price and the quality, I wish I could give this product six stars because it surpasses all expectations. You can’t go wrong with this one!

I replaced an old, faded plastic doorbell button that would stick at times with this product. What an improvement! The finish, solid metal plate of a decent weight and color-matched mounting screws are high quality. I also like the lighted button which I didn't have before. This product makes the entry area look much nicer, and you can see the doorbell button at night. It was very easy to install too.

Good budget solution for a doorbell. Came with Phillips screws, which are easier to work with. Website picture shows straight screws. Mine had Phillips, that's good. Got this as an emergency replacement for a failed smart doorbell. While I consider my options for smart replacements and wiring, this one does the trick. Tip: use an awl with a few taps to start the screw hole. No drilling required.

I had an old plastic, sun-brittled door bell button that the UPS guy broke using my package to ring it. He fessed up, so I didn't fuss about it. I was going to just get another cheapo one, but I saw this and really liked it. The curve of it actually matches my keypad deadbolt! Took all of 5 minutes to install--it's standard size so the old screw holes lined up--and looks great. Would look better if the door jamb it's attached to was in better shape. Maybe that's next.
