The fan was easy to install and works perfectly. The smart features allow me to control the fan via the Hubspace app and i can even control with my voice using Alexa. The color temperature changing light kit is a nice touch to adjust to match our existing 5000K lighting.

Purchased this fan for a bedroom and it looks great....
Purchased this fan for a bedroom and it looks great. The 2 fan blade color options allow for different looks. I chose the dark wood to compliment a similar color barn door in the room.
The fan is silent up to the 4th speed setting, after which there’s a slight tick sound from the sway caused by the higher speed. The 3rd speed is perfect for sleeping. Highest speed is no joke!
The lighting color and brightness options are extensive and well thought out.
I think the best part is the remote. Every possible option is on it, and the remote holder attaches over the light switch that is no longer needed. Very handy!

We are sorry to hear that you are having this issue. Please make sure that the light kit is properly aligned with the base of the fan before twisting the light kit on. The light kit attachment is shown in detail in the complete installation video located on the product page (fast forward to the 12:56 mark). If that does not resolve the issue, please call Hampton Bay customer service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678) and one of the team members will be able to get more information to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

This is the best ceiling fan we’ve ever owned! The remote control is so handy. You can set it for “breeze” and it feels like you’re outside. It has six levels of fan settings and believe me it puts out the air in the higher settings. The light is adjustable for soft white or bright white. The bulb was included. You can dim as you want. The electrician that installed it for us liked it so much, he was going to go buy one!
