Thank you for your inquiry. Directions state to spray around the exterior of a vehicle. Do not apply this product around electrical equipment. You would spray around the perimeter of the vehicle so the rodent will avoid the vehicle. Thank you. P.F. Harris

HOW LONG DOES THIS LAST?

My experience with rodent repelling and herbal oils, is that as soon as the aroma of the essential oils dissipates, so is the efficacy gone. We've had to keep spraying our products that spray, at least once a day, preferably twice daily, to repel them from a garage....what essential oils really require to work decently, is to load the liquid into a fine-mist fogger that ...intermittently... sprays some out over a room, every few hours. Good luck trying to find such a fogger! IF you are chemically sensitive [MCS], you may need to get plain essential oils, including Pennyroyal oil, to make your own spray liquid. Many who have MCS are generally fine with essential oils, but, this rodent repeller spray only has cinnamon and peppermint--neither of which repels rodents that well, compared with pennyroyal herbal oil..... ...it's the so-called "inactive" ingredients in products like this, which are usually the more toxic--and often those do not have any pronounced odor.

I have an Arizona Pocket mouse that moved into the rocks around my fire pit. I used this Rodent Repellent to move it out before it accidentally ran into the fire and ruined our evening. I sprayed about a third of a bottle on the rocks on the inside, outside and the top with this Rodent Repellent and the mouse moved out! Alas, it had returned 2 days later as soon as the (pleasant) odor of the repellent dissipated. This deterrent works for a short period of time (1 or 2 days) and for some applications that is enough. (I'll spray the rocks before I set the fire!)

I've had a terrible time with mice outside the house and one eventually ended up in the house. I used this spray around the outside of the house, front and back and, since then, I have not seen any signs of mice. It seems like these natural oils-based products work much better than the other sprays and being pet friendly is a big concern. The product has a pleasant odor to it so the smell is not overpowering. It's nice that this came in a two-pack as when the weather gets nicer and all the critters start coming back to life I will probably need to reapply more of this product. I'm very pleased with the product and it does perform as advertised.

Unlike some other rodent repellents, this product does not have an offensive odor. The active ingredients are 4% Peppermint Oil and 1% Cinnamon Oil which produce a strong but present scent. This is in sharp contrast to some of the other products that I have used that smell like sulfur or rotten eggs. I plan to use this product around my boat and trailer in hopes of keeping the mice out of the boat. The labeling says that this product in Made in USA which is always a good thing.

This Harris Rodent Repellant Spray smells so good! It has a nice strong peppermint scent and is very pleasant. The bottle says to respray when the smell wares off. It's been about 4 days and it is still going strong and working to keep the mice out of my shed! Besides the obvious entry points, I like to spray specific items that the mice like to chew or shred for nests. So far so good. This is a generous sized bottle that has a sturdy spray nozzle with a lock position and should last for many doses. I am always happy to find no kill remedies. The rodents do not like the smell so they just don't come in. Recommend!!

Working very well after about a week. Almost daily I had been seeing a rat around the fireplace wood box next to the house for over a week. Since rodents are sometimes very ‘trap smart,’ I thought I’d just try to deter it from coming back to that location. So before shopping, I checked the Home Depot website to see what options were available. The Harris repellent looked interesting, particularly since it used all natural and non chemical contents. The peppermint and cinnamon oil concentrate even has an appealing aroma. After spraying the repellent all over where I had seen the rodent, he appears to have left for greener pastures. With the grandkids coming over from time to time, I will keep this handy and use around the wood box and any other place they might find inviting.

The product has a very strong minty smell which wasn’t unpleasant. However the pest still visited the area sprayed. It may have been a deterrent but we also purchased some live traps that ultimately allowed us to remove them from the property.

I've used the spray in the only room where the mouse has been seen. I've used it more than once, along with an ultrasound repeller. I still saw the mouse dart along the wall and behind furniture since I started using it, but only sporadically, and only at night. I haven't seen the mouse in a week, so the 'jury is still out' as to how effective the spray is

I used for 25 days did absolutely nothing but stop the mouse for 1 hour. I ran out & bought Tom Cat Repellant spray at Home Depot vecause the HDepot in Glendora did not carry Harris brand. I was umpressed how quick ir worked. 25+days using Harris no real gelp. Within 30 minutes using Tom Cat spray repellent the mouse left and its been 5 days no sign of an uninvited guest. Love Tom Cat

There's differentiating consensus on the effectiveness of peppermint oil as a rodent repellent. Much like Roundup Weed Control, effectiveness is dependent on concentration. The Harris product is the strongest I could find @ 4% compared to the more common Tomcat product at .5% peppermint oil.
