Is it safe to apply this to my car engine and wire?

Answer

This is not to be sprayed on automobile paint, wiring or engine parts. This is to be sprayed around the exterior of structures or vehicles until the surface in damp; not puddling or dripping. Treatment should be repeated after the odor diminishes. Repeat as necessary. P.F. Harris

Unfortunately, this has not worked for me. The rat actually tipped it over because it's so lightweight, got the back door open and escaped. It says to back it up to a wall, which I did and I tried to anchor it with heavy objects on the side, but it didn't work. Not to mention that the ants are getting the peanut butter before the rats even have a chance. I like the concept of catch and release, but since I've had it for a few weeks now with no luck, I will need to think of something else to try.

(What's this)
This is one of the easiest to use and sure way to catch rodents. On our first night setting this trap we caught a deer mouse. The bait we used was a small piece of bread and a peanut. The rodent spent the night filling it's stomach and next morning we released it away from our home into the woods. Easy to set-up and activate the trap. Back door is easy to lift for cleaning. We hose it down after each use. The spray repellent included in this pack. Herbal product that includes strong oils from plants. Cinnamon and mint make a powerful combination to repell rodents naturally. They can't stand that smell. Yet, it's a most beautiful smell to surround one's house with. This package meant for light issues with rodents. RECOMMEND for occasional issues with rodents. Would not recommend for rat issues/infestations.

I got this for my summer cottage as I had to winterize it for the winter last week. I like spraying the foundation and around the crawl space door because in the spring when I open the cottage back up I have seen evidence of mice (i.e. droppings). I can't use the trap as I'm not there the entire winter to be able to release, but the spray seems like it will work great because it smells kind of strong. I wouldn't spray inside the house due to the strong mint smell, but I sprayed inside the house around the base of the kitchen cabinets as I'm hoping when I return in six months the smell will be gone by then or not be as strong. I also sprayed around the foundation vents and around the garage door.

HARRIS EXTRA-LARGE CATCH AND RELEASE HUMANE RAT AND MOUSE TRAP WITH 20 OZ. RODENT REPELLENT SPRAY VALUE PACK Ok. Mice have bee. Invading my beach house for a month. 14 caught so far. I’m really trying e-v-e-r-t-h-I-n-g!! After reading the instructions for this rodent spray I realized I couldn’t spray iit in the kitchen or leave it anywhere where kids or pets would be around it. I decided to spray around behind the furniture on my oceanfront patio though that isn’t where the mice have been caught. I haven’t had it long to know if it actually works. I personally wouldn’t buy it again but it might be just what you are looking for.

I love this trap. I have been looking for something that I could trap and release any mice that comes in the house. Most of the traps you can't see inside to know if you caught anything, this one you can see into so I know when I caught something. The spray is easy to use and has a peppermint smell to it which mice and rats don't like. Since my car is a newer model I spray it on my tires, rodent like to eat the wiring which is now made of soy. I also spray around any spot I think they might come around. It is a strong scent, but I re-apply every other day to be sure.

(What's this)
Before last year, I had one mouse in the house in 42 years. I never caught it but never saw it after the first time either. Recently I've had a few in my basement. I baited a glue trap with chocolate and caught any I suspected were present within a day. I used the glue traps for cave crickets and they continued to be effective whether I caught a mouse or not. Then, one morning I saw I had a mouse and I decided to deal with it later. A mistake, the thing escaped, but left half his fur on the trap. I decided to go humane. This is similar to squirrel traps I've used where entering triggers the door to shut. Luckily, I haven't seen any evidence of mise after I inspected my foundation and filled a few cracks. The rodent repellent is not unpleasant; it has an aroma of peppermint and has good range to the spray. I used it outside on my foundation; next spring I'll use it on the plants the squirrels like to dig up.

Both of these products are apparently quite effective. The best humane traps I’ve ever tried in years past. The spray is strong naturAl peppermint also seems to work as promised.
