Is there a medium sized two door trap?

I don't know. I started with a small, two door trap and found larger squirrels could get the bait and back out. I got a one door medium and that worked great...once caught two at the same time. I've retired the two door trap, only works with really small animals.

Will this work for moles?

I think for it to work you would have to dig a pretty good sized hole and place it in a tunnel. I think something smaller like this would be easier to use. Of course, you have to monitor the trap daily or it is less humane than a kill trap: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrxcKk1jvNc

If the animal is not fully inside, it prevents the doors to lock and can easily open it and escape with the bait. Poor design. My suggestion is to return it and never buy again anything from these guys

Try these things Put peanut butter under the handle plate inside the cage. The rat will have to stand on the plate to get to it. Smooth the trip lever. make sure there are no rough spots. Place a partially filled water bottle on the plate. This will decrease the weight required to trip it. Good luck.

Can you catch Voles with this trap or are the holes in the mesh too big?

I dont think the holes are big but at the same time not sure if they will trip and close the door, I did catch a squirrel with it so as long as voles has matching weight I would think why not. The wholes I would think as big as typical hardware cloth.

Trying to catch a chipmunk but it escaped. Need advice on this trap.

I've found with the two door trap, if the animal is large enough to reach the bait but still extend past the door, they can back out and the doors will close. I solved that by getting a one door trap. Mine is a medium and works for all sizes of critters (squirrels mostly).

If I could give this product 10 starts, I would. It really took care of the chipmunk problem in my front and back yard. It worked the first day I placed it. I was able to capture 17 chipmunks in 10 days. I had a huge problem with chipmunks in my front and back yard. They dug everywhere and even after replacing the mulch with landscaping stones and thick weed mat, they continued to dig through them. I contracted a green pest control company which put baits all around the house, and after a year, the number of chipmunks just increased. Out of frustration I decided to try these traps. I was initially worried about the hassle of having to trap the chipmunks and not knowing what to do with them. However, after capturing and releasing the first one, it became an easy task. For about 2/3 of price of a one treatment I was able to buy two cages. The trap captured both small and big chipmunks. On one occasion, though, an animal was devious and ate the bait without triggering the trap. I used peanut butter and topped it with an almond (the cherry on top :). Overall, an easy trap to set and use and highly effective. Well worth the money.

It can work for Fox squirrels if you use it in the single door open configuration. Fox squirrels are an invasive species in my area. If you use it with booth doors open, the little buggers get out because their bushy tail keeps the door from closing. To catch them follow the directions that come with the trap for setting it up in the single door mode and place the bait at the back of the trap, NOT on the trigger pan. Making them walk over the trigger pan to get the bait ensures their tail is far enough inside for the door to close. Be sure to cover the bottom of the cage with what ever dirt is in the area. Make sure that the door is not blocked by the dirt. Place a rock on the top that is heavy enough to keep any neighborhood cats from tipping it over. If the trap is tipped over the animal could escape. I have a trap set up under a bird feeder. In the past several weeks it has trapped 2 squirrels, 2 rats, and 1 sparrow. The sparrow was unexpected!

Success with time, patience, peanut butter, and almonds

It took a solid week before the chipmunks got comfortable enough with the cage to begin eating the snacks sprinkled around. Once it became a part of the yard, catching them was quite easy. We found the most success using no-salt peanut butter and sticking fresh almonds to the paste on the inside plate. The cage is very sensitive, and we had to reset the trap a few times due to a few "Houdini" animals! How they got the food, with doors locked, and escaped we'll never know. No worries as we were after the chipmunks living too close to the foundation of our home. This was an excellent and humane trap. Highly recommend Havahart.

I had a ground squirrel move into chassis of RV on camping trip and could not coax him away. Used this trap per instructions and caught problem on first night. Baited with a couple of peanuts and a couple pieces of cat food. Only criticism is releasing animal. Spring loaded doors stay closed even when trap is on side or upside down (per instructions). This particular squirrel did not want to leave even with door held open by hand......

I have set this trap for 4 or 5 days so far, and have caught and re-located 6 chipmunks! It works great with peanuts. I have also unintentionally caught one squirrel. I have a large population of squirrels near my house, but not concerned by them. For those looking to relocate squirrels, I'm not sure if this cage would be as effective for them since I've only managed to get one. However, this works great for chipmunks!

We eliminated the chipmunk problem that was plaguing our yard for 2 seasons, in just one weekend. We had holes everywhere, chewed up veggies, etc. Chipmunks sun bathing on our steps; completely brazen activity. They even started chirping at us when we walked around our yard, as if we were encroaching on _their_ territory. The nerve. Happy to say that these traps worked within a literal 10 minutes of setting them with some sunflower seeds. I haven't seen anymore chipmunks running around in the last few days!
