Q:Light stays on all the time. I bought it for motion sensor only purpose. I set DualBrite to OFF, and set sensitivity very low. Additionally, I cannot figure out how to access or modify the lens shield, if that were to become necessary.

Appearance - It has a nice elegant look which is much better than the average outdoor ceiling lig...
Appearance - It has a nice elegant look which is much better than the average outdoor ceiling lighting.
Quality - Most of the base is plastic instead of metal so it is light, which is good, but also feels a bit cheap.
Value - For the price, it has good features and looks good. Best I could find that included dusk to dawn and motion sensor.
Ease of installation - Not as easy as I thought it would be. Getting the base attached to the ceiling support is difficult because you have to attach it with two screws, that are off center, so aligning it is hard given that you are doing it by feel, unless you are high enough to see between the base and the ceiling. Also, the cover is held up by two small black screws. I would have preferred a twist mechanism or a snap mechanism.
Bulb - you can use LED bulbs but they must be dimmable. I am running it with two of the following bulbs also available at Home Depot.

No way to disable the motion sensing
I bought an older home that had this light installed already so unfortunately I didn't have any control over having this light. While the light looks great, there is a major design flaw for this unit. That being regardless of if you want to use the motion sensing feature or not, you have to use it. There is no way to disable it to always have manual control for more than one night as apparently somebody thought it was a great idea to have sunlight reactivate the motion sensing feature so you lose manual control after one night... Hopefully this person no longer works for Zenith. As a result, no smart bulbs will work in this light. I'm pretty much forced to either buy a whole new porch light, buy a no neutral smart switch, or rewire the whole section to use standard smart switches...

Hello,
You can bypass the motion and photocell sensors on this unit. This is done by connecting the single red wire that has a white cap to the black power wire. This will convert it to a standard light that operates off of a wall switch.

Bugs collect inside light
After just 6 months, bugs collect in the bottom of the light, making in dimmer, and also looks terrible. It's very high up, so hard to take down and clean often.

Bought three of these, two required realigning the seal between motion sensor and frame. I installed them over existing can lights, too bad they did not have a factory option for that, had to be very careful not to crack thin pot metal tightening screws at my drilled mounting holes. The frosted glass really hides the 40w equivalent led bulbs I installed, so much so I will be upgrading to 60w equiv. If I can find any to get enough light out. Overall, they are well built and operate fine.

This is 2nd device that I have purchased from Heath-Zenith for my carport. The first one lasted over 25yrs. So I selected another device from them and hopefully it will last just as long.
