Theoretically, the motion detection distance can be adjusted, but the distance remains the maximum even when the knob is at the minimum. So every car passing by on the street activates the motion detection. During testing, I was walking at least 30 feet away and still activated the light at minimum setting. I may also add that the adjustment knob is accessible only after dismounting the fixture from the wall. The manual mode feature also doesn't work - the light doesn't turn on when switched off and on after one second. The only way to use it is to turn on the power switch in the day (the light comes on at dusk). Then turn off the power before going to bed to avoid unnecessary motion detection activation.

Bought 5 of these lights a year ago. Before the year was up one quit working. Have left several messages with Heath Zenith as they were still under warranty but no one ever returns my calls. So ordered another one a month ago & already it’s flickering vs staying on. Now another one has quit working. These lights are crap & warranty means nothing. Home Depot should stand behind what they sell vs forcing a person to try & deal with manufacturers. Will be looking for new lights but it won’t be this brand.

you need to change the light bulb! I purchased 4 of these a little over a year ago for my home. I liked them because they have both Dusk to Dawn and Motion Sensing features which I did not find on any other lights that I looked at. Changing the light bulbs should take 10 minutes. I had these lights professionally installed. The electrician screwed the nut caps on very tight, and I had to use a wrench to unscrew them. The paint peeled off of the nut caps, and to add insult to injury the screw underneath the cap broke. Worse yet, at the bottom of the installation instructions, it says "replacement parts are not available". I went back to Home Depot with the fixture in hand. The first thing I was told was that I had to buy a new fixture. That didn't make sense to me because the screw is broken and the cap is damaged. This should be an easy fix. Well...trying to find replacement screws is not easy because they are a unique size (probably because these fixtures are made in China). The Associate there easily spent 30-45 minutes trying to help find a solution that worked. Unfortunately, nothing worked because the screws didn't fit the fixture. I tried another store and finally came up with something that worked albeit not exactly as how the fixture was originally. If the same thing happens to you, you need to buy 4mm .7 X16mm Philips Drive machine screws and use them as they are without the nut caps. You won't be able to tell from looking at the fixture that there should be a nut cap on top. Also, make sure that the screws are stainless steel since the fixture is exposed to the elements and you don't want them to rust. Hopefully, this will save someone else a lot of frustration and money by not having to buy a new fixture!

Easy to install, looks great, only drawback is the angle of coverage for motion detection is approximately 110 degrees rather than 150 degrees
