Questions & Answers

Can this be used on rubber vent pipe flashings?

Asked by: John
If is has hydrocarbons (asphalt) in it then it will deteriorate rubber, so better to use one of the products previously recommended by the Henry rep.

Can this be used to fill in Satellite dish screw holes on the roof? Also good to use in hot humid weather?

Asked by: Tigerguy747
Tigerguy747-yes. However it must be used with roof repair fabric to complete a '3 course patch' which is labor intensive for small punctures like these. We would recommend the 900 Construction and Flashing Sealant for an easier application. Thank you for putting your trust in the Henry Company and The Home Depot.

can this be used on a mobile home metal roof?

we have a mobile home with a metal roof nd there are holes in the roof. I can't afford to replace at the moment so need something to just quickly fix it.
Asked by: Michelle
Not an easy question to answer without seeing the issue, but basically, yes. If the roof is mostly clean without rust, and the holes are just small, you could probably use some self adhesive roof repair tape also. That is what I use on my camper which has an aluminum roof and it works well. Spray-on rubber may also work. If you do go with the Henry, buy a roll of reinforcement fabric also to prevent the material from splitting after it dries. It should certainly get you through a year or so. Whatever you use, follow the instructions or you may be disappointed. Good luck.

What's the best way to clean up? Soap and water, or something like mineral spirits or alcohol? Thank you.

L.A.'s Totally awesome degreaser works GREAT to get this (and other petroleum based products) off hands. Soak a green dish scrubbing pad and with fairly minimal scrubbing 90% of it comes off, with moderate scrubbing nearly everything else comes off. Use a stiff brush for finger nails/cuticles - be extra careful as brushes can spray the product into the air.
