5.5 oz. Clear Plumber's Caulk

Good in a pinch when you do not need a full tube. Was easy to work with. Dried clear and easy clean up.

This silicone is absolute garbage! I specifically bought it to seal around the drop-in sink in the kitchen. I waited 48 hours before first use. As soon as water hits it, it immediately swells up and completely falls off. This product is complete trash. I'm going to try returning it to Home Depot, because now on top of already waiting 48 hours and not using the kitchen sink, I'll have to spend additional time scraping it all off completely, apply quality silicone from DAP or GE, and then wait for it to dry again, all because this product turned out to be complete garbage with false advertising.

Absolute trash product. Home Depot should be ashamed for even carrying this. Every time it gets wet it becomes soggy, reabsorbing the water. I tried using it on my kitchen and bathroom faucet. Twice for eac,h 8hr dry time on the first and 48hr on the second. Replaced with a DAP product that worked great.

Perfect for sealing around faucets and sinks. Goes on white so you can see you have proper coverage but dries to a virtually invisible finish. The smaller tube allows you to get in tighter spaces with ease. Great adhesion and waterproofing. Package also indicates that it is mold and mildew resistant. Can be used for interior or exterior jobs.

First off, I typically do not write negative reviews, but I was disappointment with this product purchased 9/14/24 at HD (not a HD issue). My project was to seal a shower pan floor drain. The Plumbers Caulk went on well and to assure it fully cured, I let sit for 8 days without use. Within seconds of being exposed to water I noticed the Plumbers Caulk immediately went from clear to white, began to bubble up and when touched would pull away. Product doesn't appear it can be exposed to water.

Received a 5.5 Oz tube of Hercules plumbers caulk just in time for some repairs around my house. I was a little concerned when the instructions stated not to use below 50 degrees which is hard to do in a Michigan winter. I used it around a pole barn window and it went on very nice and laid down smoothly. At 34 degrees it took more than a day and a half to become rigid. It says it is paintable but I have not tried painting over it as of yet. It said water cleanup, which is true just be sure to clean it up before it starts to set. I could smell the silicone in the caulk so I know it will hold up well. My tube said it was bright white, which I would have called it brilliant white. I was very pleased with this product in its easy to use, resealable tube.

Having a small tube a caulk handy is great for those small jobs that come up from time to time when you don’t want to open a full sized tube of caulk. This caulk has an impressive list of properties that are worth listing: - Acrylic latex with silicone - Flexible - Durable - Mold and mildew resistant - Water resistant - Interior and exterior - non-sagging - Can be painted after 24 hours (latex or oil based paint) - Soap and water cleanup The plastic tube is soft and pliable allowing the caulk to be squeezed out easily and in a well controlled manner. I think all one could ask for more is a faster drying time. Don’t get this stuff in your eyes. A notice on the tube says that if one is not satisfied, one can return the tube (and proof of purchase) and state why, for a refund. Made in the USA
