The Hessaire 1,300 CFM Evaporative Cooler is compact in size, pleasing in aesthetics and the performance exceeds coolers of a much larger size. This performance is achieved through expanding air-intake areas to the hi-density XeL50 rigid media. The hi-density XeL50 media provides 80% more evaporation surface compared to regular density media. This means higher evaporation efficiency and cooler temperatures. Patented axial prop is energy efficient and throws cool air farther. Molded with ABS resin, creating a strong, yet lightweight design. This model has a handle to carry the unit. 1-year warranty.

Q:I am buying a Hessaire 3100 CFM 3 speed portable swamp cooler for my 900 cu ft greenhouse. I live in Sharon, MA. The greenhouse is outside would be used during 90Fsummer months. If I add 2-3 (2ft diameter) exhaust fans on the far end would this work.

Answer This Question
A:Â I think it would because you would be using the Hessaire unit on the low speed. I wouldn't go to the other speeds.

A:Â A better suggestion would be our new W6100 Window Cooler mounted from the outside with Qty: 2 20x20 shutters on the other end

A:Â I have used this product for over 2 years in Central Texas summer heat and it has significantly lowered the temperature on our patio for the past 2 summers! Â I think it would help your situation especially if you have less humid summers than Central Texas

A:Â Not sure exactly about the exhaust fan question, but keep in mind this is an evaporative cooler or "swamp cooler" that cools better in dry/desert climate (10-25% humidity levels). In humidity, it will simply be a high fan, and likely not cool very much at all. I don't know what your humidity level is, but you may want to research further its effectiveness where you are.

Q:Can I use this for a garage with no windows or vents?

Answer This Question
A:Â I would open the people door or garage door an inch or 2 when it's in use.
by|Dec 19, 2022
A: Yes you can. HOWEVER, please understand that this is EVAPORATIVE COOLING not Air Conditioning. As such, the cooling works best when the local dew point is under 55° and there is at least one small vent to the outside. Completely enclosed without an exhaust point will severely diminish any cooling.

A:Â I don't see why not. In essence this is a fan that blows air through water covered filter type materiel. It does not produce any fumes or exhaust.

An Excellent Purchase That Will Pay For Itself
We've been using this all summer and have nothing but praise for it. Like all evaporative coolers, it does not work well during humid weather so if that is your norm, this is NOT for you. When the air is dry it is miraculous and allows us to be cool with the AC set at 80*. It's easy to use, fill and roll around. It works great outside and you can attach a hose to a float controlled valve. This is well designed and constructed. It will run for about 8hrs on one tank of water but does not shut off automatically when the tank runs dry. Prolonged use without water will damage the pump but I've had good luck with this type of pump (submersible water feature type) tolerating occasional misuse. Spare parts are reasonably priced at HD.

Wow! This works great!
Bought this for our garage, but right now I have in our t.v. room that doesn't seem to get cooled down like the rest of the house when the air is on. Good thing this has wheels, because I can see it will be moving around to multiple rooms.

We love it
Texas heat has exceeded 108 which makes outdoor by the pool miserable. We bought this and it works wonders. I think it’s better used outdoors IMO. We want to by another and have recommended it to family and friends. It’s also really lightweight (when empty). We bring it in the road to the cabins as well!

Needs some tweaking when you get it
Great swamp cooler but has a design flaw. There are 3 pads that the pump propels water over. The back pad restricts the flow valve. Cut the rear padding on the lower right to allow it not to touch any part of the flow valve. If you aren’t a little bit mechanical and a problem solver, maybe not for you. But we cut a small chunk out of the padding that was sitting atop the flow valve so it was unrestricted and hooked it up to or backyard water faucet with a V hose (so we could feed the swamp cooler with a small hose and still water with a 50’ hose. It’s in our gazebo and works great in Texas 100+ heat. As all swamp coolers, it doesn’t work as well in high humidity. But it’s a great swamp cooler that just needs a tweek

Much better than the average "fan"
We live along the Coast of MS where humidity and heat go hand in hand. My wife likes to sit on back porch and smoke. In this heat she was always miserable until I purchased this "cooler". After reading the reviews I figured we'd give it a shot, humidity and all. The ticket to using this thing along the Coast is to keep ice in the container. We own 2 different freezers and it is so easy to fill ice trays and just keep replenishing the ice. It melts to a cool water which makes all the difference in the world as to the cooling of the unit. She is a happy camper.

Works in the house with my humidity controller
This cooler runs like an air conditioner as I have it hooked up to a humidity controlled switch. When the humidity drops to 45% this unit automatically turns on at the low fan setting with pump on. When humidity hits 55% the cooler is automatically shut off. When the humidity drops back down to 45% it cycles again. I can set the humidity percentages for off/on operations at any %. I find the 45-55 to work really well along with the air conditioning in the house. This takes load off of ac

great!
if you're complaining about the humidity you probably did not do research on these at all. of course it increases humidity its literally using water to cool the air down. Anyway, I live in the Southern California Desert and this works amazing. You can hook it up to a hose or just add water yourself every so often. I left in on for 6 hours last night and it's not emptied yet. The fan setting is also highly effective. I do absolutely reccomend this product.

This evaporative cooler is light but makes loud air noise, no assembly needed, only need to push the wheels in its designated slot, add about 2 gallons of water into the tank, plug the cord to an outlet, and turn on power to have cool air. I've only been able to use it in an 80° or less temperatures and it circulates cool air around my 250 sq ft studio. Not sure if it'll work the same in a 90°+ weather in Pacific northwest.

It works!
We are in the middle of some serious heat so I picked one up for the garage. It was 104 when I filled it up and turned it on. It’s 84.5 24 hrs later. ( For those of you unfamiliar with evaporative coolers, you have to have a source of dry air… I opened the door about 6 inches…)
3,100 CFM 3-Speed Portable Evaporative Cooler (Swamp Cooler) for 950 sq. ft.
The Hessaire 3,100 CFM Evaporative CoolerThe Hessaire 3,100 CFM Evaporative Cooler is compact in size, pleasing in aesthetics and the performance exceeds coolers of a much larger size. This performance is achieved through expanding air-intake areas to the hi-density XeL50 rigid media. These coolers have 3 media panels instead of a single panel found on most mobile coolers. 3 panels allow more air-intake area and reduce pre-rotation of the air to the prop, which translates into lower static pressure and more efficient air delivery to the prop. The hi-density XeL50 media provides 80% more evaporation surface compared to regular density media. This means higher evaporation efficiency and cooler temperatures. Note: This unit is NOT an air conditioner and therefore uses much less energy and saves more on electricity costs. It is best used in dry climates or open spaces. Leave window/door open to limit the rise of humidity and keep better air ventilation in the room.View Full Product Description
